Current Status - 2016

Poor Spiky is continuing to do a lot of maintenance, although at least some of it is preparation for New Magical Diary.

I am slowly converting the script for A Little Lily Princess as more art comes in. I've been having trouble keeping steady background artists, and probably need to go hunting for more of them as soon as we get past holiday week bump. I don't know at this point how much of the GUI work I will finish before I first look for testers. There's a lot of fiddly stuff in the stat-raising interface area that hasn't been touched yet, and may need even yet still more artists for!

I would like to push out another set of new cases for Black Closet sometime in the near future, so I may fish for ideas again. If you have case ideas that you didn't post in the new case ideas thread before, feel free to chime in, but as usual, you never know where I'm going to go with an idea.

Unfortunately Spiky is planning to run off on another adventure, which may limit my ability to release anything in Feb-March!

So, I’ve injured my hand. Not badly enough that I can’t use it, but enough that I shouldn’t. I can push through the pain but that’s not going to help it heal. As someone whose entire life revolves around a mouse and keyboard, this is extremely frustrating.

And explains why you’re not getting game development updates from me at the moment.

This has been a bad year for productivity. I won't bore you with the details, and if you follow me on twitter you've probably already got some idea, but I have not been getting much of anything done since the release of ALLP.

In slightly better news:
- the next Paradox Girl comic kickstarter is coming up soon, which does benefit me even though I'm not directly working on it.
- there are two projects in development that may eventually be published by Hanabira. Again, my involvement is limited, but I wouldn't mention them if I thought you wouldn't have any interest at all. One of them is a choose-your-protagonist game with many dating options. The other I'll tell you about later when it's further along.
- Small amounts of work are being done on Magical Diary. Not enough to be excited about, but enough that we can technically say we are working on it.

We all have our low productivity times, but I'm glad it looks like things are starting to look up for you. Two new projects and work on Magical Diary - here's hoping things get better in 2017.

No video game related rewards this time because there isn't THAT much crossover between what I do here and the comic. However, we ARE doing a card game, so there's a little bit of gamer interest in there somewhere.

And to tempt you with the promise that someday Magical Diary will come, proof that we are at least occasionally working on it:

Don't repost that, it's rough and subject to change.

And don't expect anything anytime soon!

I'm liking the look of Grabiner. What's the two last stats though? It doesn't look like it says Weird and Cute but I can't quite make out what exactly is says.

Now I want a remaster of the first one with that Art style.

And a full fledged Pastel route. Or a Minnie route. Or both.
