The author of the "lone wolf" gamebook series is allowing them to be distributed free online! I think I only had one of these myself as a kid. They're the kind of "choose your own adventure"-RPG hybrid where you have hitpoints and inventory and a single goal to get through to, as opposed to some books where you go all over the place.

I haven't done much research on gamebooks lately, so I didn't know that anyone was offering gamebooks online. Thank you for mentioning this.
