Good game-making programmes for mac?

Basically I really want to make a visual novel game on my mac - I adored Date Warp to bits & now I want to make my own kind of game!

Obviously the easier to use it is & the the cheaper the better, but I'd be willing to pay for a good programme

A lot of people use Ren'py, which works on Mac and is free.

I think it's pretty easy to use, once you watch the tutorial and learn the commands. Their game list says that Date Warp, Science Girls, and Summer Session were all made with it.
