Is there an Academagia demo?

I thought the game looked interesting and I read the wiki. So is there a demo for it?

Yes and no. There's no separate demo version. It is possible to play the game free for thirty minutes via a weird online service, but there are two problems with that.

One, the game is so complicated you may not even have gotten through character creation in thirty minutes, much less gotten the hang of playing.

Two, because it's through a weird online service it will not work exactly the same way as it would on your computer. So the demo might crash when the real game doesn't, or conversely the demo might work and the real game might not.
