If you've never heard of this, it's the Infamous Pigeon Dating Sim. Yes, pigeons.

For anyone interested in this game let me tell you something: it is a sob fest. It's amazingly well-written. Yes, a game about dating pigeons is touching. It's also wildly hilarious.

The game is about six hours long in total and the demo is half that. There's eight different birds to pursue (the eighth is available only in the full version). One ending is scary (and actually kind of SAD if you know his whole story. HOW DO YOU DO THIS PIGEON GAME?), two are pretty cool, three are very sad, and the other two are hilariously BADASS.

The rest of the game (available in the full version) called Hurtful Boyfriend is just...too amazing for words. This is where most of the sadness comes in. It has a face-paced plot that is totally unexpected and you forget that you're playing a game about DATING BIRDS.

Did I mention you play as a cave-dwelling girl who is the only human at the world' best school for pigeons? "I must return to my people with the spoils of war, lay my bloodied sword at the feet of my great king, and celebrate my conquest of all the lands from here to distant Macedonia." is just a little quote from her.

Seriously, go get the demo at least. Even if you don't find it touching, it's still bound to be amusing, no?

I got the demo to work! I'm now seriously considering buying the full version since I can finally play the demo. It turned out that it was a quicktime issue. Ugh. I'm so happy I finally stumbled across the right information while using google to try and find an answer. I'm so happy that people on tumblr got the solution for this.

If anybody else has problems with getting Hatoful Boyfriend to work on their computer, try downloading and installing quicktime alternative.
