Spirited Heart: Girl's Love

Spirited Heart: Girl's Love

#1 by Muse - Sep 4 2011

I thought I would mention it here, that Spirited Heart's expansion, Girl's Love, is now out. For those who just like wooing the guys, there isn't much new, because the guys didn't get any new scenes, but they did get two new endings (dependent on race). The girls have three endings and different scenes depending on race as well.

Anyway, I figured some people here might like to know the add-on is out. Very Happy

I've been SO looking forward to this. (Lesbian love, YAY!) The girl characters look interesting in the demo.

If you've bought the original game, you pay $10 for the expansion (which means I can't buy it until payday).

Agreed! And the new scenes are amazing! I love Jack's stories but I'm so glad he hired a writer for these. It really paid off, I think.

I agree with you Very Happy
This way I can just think about the scenes, characters, events, etc and the writer expands my ideas (in a decent English!). The result is much better for sure!

Looking forward to this, but how do I let them know I have the original version to get the expansion cheaper?

Bright day
Six options? Paths changing based on race? Bought.

Though did I need to buy the original game or is the expansion stand-alone?

You can buy just the expansion. (IMho the stories/romances are way better than the original.) If you buy both you get a discount, is all. Honestly I don't think I'll really play the original cast much anymore now that I have the new ones. XD

love!

I love this game and i like it more because the guys have different endings, something i have wanted for a while.

The only problem i have is the human race. I think her path got shafted on the female love interest paths because it's similar to the elf or sometimes the demons. I only played a few paths so i hope it's different as a play more paths.

To anyone that has not bought this game I think that the expansion pack completes this game and anyone that has been on the fence should buy it now.

Hey, just heads up there might be a breach of security. I got a completelz new debit card this september, my only transactions have been for Spirited heart and Planet Stronghold and on tueday there has been attempts to breach my savings account.

On the Spirited Heart. I have to say my enjoyment of the game improved significantly once I started save scumming. Otherwise I felt really out of control during the game.

Hmm I really don't think it's related to the purchase - I use BMT micro, same order processor as Hanako and a lot of indie devs (80% of the ones I know use it) so I guess that a security problem would have been noticed by them too Cool

Got this about a month ago and been loving it. Could you PM me the link as well? And does it include the titles and such from base game? My completionist instincts are kicking in.

Also, opinions: Who do you think has the cutest path with Hade? I just wooed her as an Elf and it was adorable. My demon last play through ran into her a couple times but... well, there was a bit of a clash of personalities, to say the least.

I don't recommend it, it's a very shallow game. Newer Winter Wolves games are better though.

Hazel

#31 by Hazel - Feb 4 2013

Which one do you recommend most? I saw that a lot of their newer stuff is sequels, so I'm not sure how much sense they make if you jump right in.

Franka

#32 by Franka - Feb 5 2013

I think Loren is the best game, by far, from Winter Wolves. It has a bit of a fan service graphics issue though, but for both story and gameplay, it's the best there is.

I also enjoyed Bionic Heart, but that's certainly not for everyone.

But really, try getting the demos, they're fairly generous in letting you try out a good deal of what the games offer, and in the case of Spirited Heart, you pretty much see exactly what the entire game will be like from the demo.

biscuit

#33 by biscuit - Feb 5 2013

Jumping on with same recommendations as Franka: really, try the demos.

It depends on what you want. Loren is my favorite (even with some questionable clothing designs), but if you are looking more for a dating-sim type experience, Flower Shop is very good.

I admit I loved the original Spirited Heart expansion, but from what has been shown/hinted at so far, I'll like Spirited Heart 2 better. (the original was one of the first sims I ever played, so I was much less of a critic! *grin*)

Hazel

#34 by Hazel - Feb 7 2013

I tried a little of Heileen, and found the protagonist and overall tone very much not to my taste.

Spirited Heart had some elements that were really appealing and some that were repetitive, frustrating or distracting. I also found the quality and tone of the dialogue pretty inconsistent, although it had a few laugh-out-loud moments that I appreciated. It feels a little like a first draft that needs to be revisited, in some ways.

Loren was pretty interesting. I didn't get very into it because I am usually more interested in story than in RPG game mechanics. The character dynamics seemed like they could be a lot of fun, but managing inventory and such was a hassle that I just wasn't in the mood for.

I think I'll play the Always Remember Me demo next.

Franka

#35 by Franka - Feb 7 2013

For Loren, you can just play on the easiest setting and not worry very much about the RPG aspects.

In case anyone is interested by on the fence, Winter Wolves is having a 40% Easter sale right now on a huge bunch of games. See here.

Re: Spirited Heart: Girl's Love

zodiac_sign:

The girl's version is usually considered the better of the two for the simple reason there were two different writers. The one who did the Spirited Heart Girls' Edition also did the writing for Heileen 3 Sea Maidens (the Yuri addition to Heileen 3), I believe.

The same writer is also tapped to write Spirited Heart 2. Number 2 isn't a sequel in the traditional sense, but it will be a replacement. It will have one writer, and more characters, more dialogues, and less grinding (grinding in the sense of trying to raise stats such as skills or attributes).

And there is a sale currently at 50% for the next day or two for Winter Wolf Games.
