I don't know if anyone can actually be much help with this barr someone physically doing it for me, but are there any pointers on how to get the arrows to join up. I've written out which number moves what rings but I am seriously stumped.

Hmm, I remember that this one had me stumped for a bit as well. I don't remember what technique I used but I do remember lining up all the arrows, moving all the numbers except for #1. Save moving #1 for last and then you shouldn't have a problem.
