Cellphones?

Is there a way to figure out what the cellphones do? I've completed all the endings, am I doing something wrong?

I've played it with all the endings too and as far as I know the cellphones are never fully explained. I THINK they might be part of the summoning spell to track Kirsten reborn, but I really don't know.

This is something that wasn't able to be fully explained within the game because the wolfriemen really don't have the right kind of knowledge/tools to understand them, and Jeremy was not likely to explain it to Christina because it would make him sound evil (he designed them).

They're sort of a combination tracking device and summoning device. If you give a girl a phone, you know where she is, and you can try to make her come to you.
