Music not working when loading saved game

I bought this game through BFG... the music works fine when starting a new game from the beginning, but when I try to load up a saved game none of the music will play, what could be wrong here?

IIRC with that engine, it won't play music until you reach the start of a NEW music track. Whatever was playing when you saved won't restart itself when you load.

I know, but even when I hit a point where a new music track should start, it doesn't! I don't really understand what's going on
