Hi everyone! I'm new here... but familiar with Hanako games thru Amarinthia games (I hope I got that name right... I'm not so good with names).

I was wondering how many people here have actually bought the full version of Fatal Hearts. I'm a HUGE choose your own adventure fan, and the demo was lots of fun!

However, I'm just a poor broke college student, and can't normally afford to spend $20 on a game. But I might make an exception for this one! Very Happy

But I had some questions I was hoping you guys could answer.

1) Is this game long? How many chapters does it have? How many hours of gameplay (first run through, as well as replay factor) would you say it has?

2) I assume it does have good replay factor? Is there an estimate of how many possible endings there are?

3) Is this the final version of the game? As a customer, should other versions come out, would I be able to get them as a buyer of the first version? Or would I have to repay?

Thanks bunches for the advice, in advance, everyone! I really appreciate it!

*hugs*

I can give some official answers, although people will probably chime in with their own versions as well (Please feel free to do so!)

A single playthrough of the game is generally four chapters long. However, depending on what path of the story you're on, you may have a completely different "Chapter 4" than you did the last time.

Guesses in length vary a lot depending on reading speed and how long you spend on the puzzles and things like that. My guess would be that a first playthrough is about 6 hours and around 10 to get all the endings, but I've heard someone say it took him 11 to finish the first playthrough and 15 to reach all the endings, so.

There are 14 unique endings, some of which can be reached by more than one method, which may have little bits of variation on the outcome... but mostly, 14 important endings. Smile

If I release a new version you will generally be able to get it free if you bought an earlier version from me. The exception is that if the game gets picked up for retail publishing, that wouldn't be a free upgrade - you'd have to buy the boxed version. But that probably won't happen.

And I definitely understand being a broke college student. Check out the Fan Works - there's a contest running and if you draw some fan art you might win the game free! Smile
