Screen Resolution Problem with Cute Knight Deluxe

#1 by NicoleWagner1981 - Feb 9 2009

I just bought Cute Knight Deluxe on Disc, and when I played it, I discovered a problem... See, I work on a 22" monitor, and when I play Cute Knight, it blows up on the screen, changing my monitor settings to around 640x800, making the game look very blurry, and everything on my desktop HUGE. Is there any patch that will allow me to play the game in a windowed 600x800 mode, so the graphics look more crisp? Oh, and before I forget, I work on Windows Vista 64 bit, too. Thanks a lot for your time and help.

The game itself is only in 640x480. You can set it to run in windowed mode so it won't screw up the rest of your desktop (I usually do myself!) but if your resolution is set really high, the native game window might be a bit small.

Unfortunately if you bought it on disc my support options are somewhat limited, the publisher added their own tweaks to the way the game works and launches and I don't know all the ins and outs of their system. But you should still be able to switch to windowed mode either within the game or by manually editing the configuration file. Find the folder where the game is installed on your computer and look for a file called "settings.ini". Open up this file and find the line about Fullscreen. Set it to 0, like so:

Fullscreen=0
That will tell the game to launch in a window and not change your resolution.

Sadly Hanako, I tried to do what you said, and it still did not work. It again would change my desktops whole resolution, making it very awkward to play. Thank you for trying to help me, though. I guess I am just stuck playing it as it is.
