Deluxe Version-Reuniting Lost Son and Mother

Hi all,

Hopefully, no one minds me posting my question here.

Well, I've been enjoying the deluxe version so far. Now from what I understand, it's possible to reunite the lost son and mother. I've done all the necessary steps (I think) but I still get the royal family ending. The words that accompany it are slighly changed, though. Is that supposed to be the case or should I be getting a brand new graphic ending? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

No room in the gallery for a new graphic, unfortunately... but she comes out a better queen this way, since she had to work even harder to end up in the position.

If you come through the reunion path, you no longer have the possible outcome where Michiko and Kirelan are joint heirs - you can still marry Kirelan if you were pursuing him beforehand, and he can still end up King if your sin was too high, but otherwise you are very definitely selected as Queen and praised for being so great.
