What's Up With The Sound?

When I play "Cute Knight", or "Cute Knight Deluxe", in normal mode the sound is barely there at all. When I play them in Lo-Fi mode the sound blares through at a good volume. Why is normal mode bad on sound?

They're written on different engine versions and have different code. That's why there's two separate releases, in case one works better for some people than the other.
