Philosopher Ending?

I've met all of the official requirements for Philosopher (Int>100, Magic>30, Dream>100), yet I always wind up as Librarian or Assistant Librarian.

I guess I would suggest not working in the library as much. Try rotating your jobs (work at the inn one week, then the shop, then the library, then perform in the street, etc.) so the game doesn't notice that you're doing one job more than the others. Spend most of your time taking Math and Magic classes and meditating in the church.

I tried that - even if I use a cheat code for gold and don't work anywhere, I get Shop Assistant.

you have to have done the church AND magic AND math class AND the library... the point of the philosopher is that your character does lots of thinking about things in different ways. so just the stats arent enough, you have to have spent a lot of time doing the different mental things.
