Inventor Ending?

I have always had problems with getting the Inventor ending. Even when I meet all the official requirements (Brewing>100, Crafting>100, Dream>100), make sure my charm is too low to get Dancer or Writer, Mind and gold are too low to get Banker, XP is too low to get Fighter, etc., I invariably get Chef or Assistant Chef. Suggestions?

Looking over the notes....

Things that give you points towards the Chef/Assistant Chef endings are:

The number of times you did the Cooking job
The number of times you did the Cooking class
Your Cooking skill
The number of times you went to the Inn

Things that give you points towards the Inventor ending are:

Your Crafting skill
Your Brewing skill
Your Mind stat
The number of times you did the Crafting class or paid to use the forge
The number of times you Made Potions (instead of doing the cooking class)
Half the number of times you did the Cooking Class


So probably you need to spend less time cooking and more time crafting. Cooking classes count more towards the chef ending than they do towards the inventor ending, even though you need them to raise your brewing skill. Stay out of the kitchen!
