Defeating the Black Knight

Hi, I'm having trouble winning the Knights' Joust at the Midsummer Fayre. I managed to raise strength, stamina, combat, and weapons to pretty good levels but still failed big time when it came to jousting. Any tips on which stats I need to get up, or any other advice on this one?

I couldn't remember what the stats were, so I messed around with cheats to find the right stats. Here are my findings:
1. If you max out just weapons you'll tie.
2. If you get 150 in combat and the same in weapons, you'll win. (I also had 100 in strength.)
3. You can have very little stamina and still win.
