For extra credit, you can just Push or Force Push the monster away whenever it gets too close. It can't go faster than you, and you only need a couple of extra turns to cast Light and pull the lever.Salaris:

For those with low magic stats, it is possible to escape the dungeon without any magic or strength at all. Just open the gates and wander around the dungeon. You'll probably get hit by the monster once.#6 by Airy_sama - Jun 24 2019
In my blue/black build it was pretty easy Although it was before the update, and I just teleported him in the hole. Which yeah I agree isn't very pacifist, but it is kinda funny. In my most recent white build I had to resort to mostly just out smarting him. Although I'm sad I was hoping I could be friends with it as the theme I was going with my white run was friend to everyone. With Blue magic, I simply teleported monster into the gated space and gone out.
