Cursed Charm

I'll put my question in spoiler text since I'm not sure if many people have encountered this. But anyway, as I was playing through again, I got a case of the secret society and one that involved witchcraft. When I chose to stake out the chapel, I ended up failing and got a cursed charm which has attributes similar to a lemon. I was wondering if the cursed charm has any possible benefits.
