A Cute Knight-Based RP Adventure

Hi all,

I've been thinking over this for sometime and I was hoping to really liven things up around here. So I've started a RP thread here and hope that others can join in.

I was thinking over the details regarding the purpose of the RP but since my mind is a bit of a blank at the moment, perhaps it can be more general. The RP thread takes place in the Cute Knight world, particularly after Michiko finds her biological family. You can make up the plot as you go along (and if anyone can think of a really great idea regarding the title of this thread or the purpose of the story, that would be great). You can take on any of the characters already established in the Cute Knight game or create an entirely original character. It's up to you. Just make sure that before you make your first RP post, that you post who your character is and a brief description of him/her so that others can follow along.

I'll start and hopefully others will join in, too.

Rules for RP threads (thanks to lill_sweetty for coming up with them):

1. No controlling other's RP characters
2. No killing off others without permission
3. No god-modding or Mary Sue
4. Outside speaking should have OCC: or () or the like.
5. No chatspeak and try your best for good grammar.
6. More specifically towards Cute Knight is since this is future Cute Knight, don't drastically change the place (like make up cars).

Sara had left her home in search of an adventure. She was 18 years old now but didn't want to be stuck at home and forced to marry some stranger that she didn't even love. So off she went to find some excitement in her life.

She came across a town. It looked like any ordinary town with an inn, shop, library, church, etc. There was an unusual area, though. It had previously been known as the slums and looked dangerous. Curious, she asked one of the guards what it was.

"Yes, miss, that area was known as the slums. It was once a very dangerous area full of monsters and thieves. But after a brave one came into the slums and vanquished the dragon there, it became a safe area."

This made Sara curious. She wondered who was the one who vanquished dragon and was curious to meet her.

Celia has just arrived in this weird city, she knew nobody in it and she wanted to make friends.

Passing from the slums, she realized a girl who was standing in front of it, so she walked up to her and talked.

"Hey there, are you new here too?"

Dirt crunched under her feet as Reene walked along the path towards the town. Finally, after five years around the kingdom, she had finally returned to her hometown. For what reason, she didn't know, perhaps curiosity to find how it and its inhabitants had changed. Furthermore, it was the nearest town to where she had been, and it was a wealthy one. She was running out of money.

As she walked in, eyes turned to her. She knew what she looked like. A young girl whose hair and a partial portion of her face was hidden by the hood of a long cloak, with a gem-encrusted but deadly looking dagger at her waist as a sign that she had money, but as a warning that she could defend herself. Reene's mesmerizing dark eyes like thunderclouds scanning the crowd without much interest, but with a slight hawk look, as if taking in every detail.

In fact, that was what she was doing. Aside from mere curiosity, as a thief, she had to know a town from the very beginning in order to work there. The brief scan had let her know the biggest change in the actual town, however. The slums, infested as it once was with criminals, were completely gone. She frowned, wanting to know how this had happened, but not wanting to risk letting her identity be known by talking to anyone. That's why she had forked over 50 gold outside of the town to buy a cloak to hide part of her face, and more importantly, her distinctive hair. She doubted her mother was still looking for her, even if she had tried to look when Reene first left, but just to be on the safe side....

Right outside of the slums, she could see two girls talking. They looked like they too, were relatively new to the town, but probably more accustomed with it than she was. As they were outside the slums, surely they knew something about it? "Worth a shot," she thought. In one movement, she had moved to where they were, only behind a building, out of sight but still able to hear their conversation. She began to eavesdrop.

((Long entry. All girls I see, but enough to get the story started right? Let's just let the story grow naturally. I have a backstory if we want to use that, but whatever happens happens. Phoenixgirl, do you want to put out some general rules? ^^))

@LovePhoenix: Yup, I know who you are. We do RPs on another forum, too.
@lill_sweety: Hmm, rules sound good. I haven't done many RPs, though, so I'm not sure what rules we should have exactly. The only one I know of, though, is not to kill another member's RP character and no god-modding, like the RP character has ultimate god powers. lol Should I post those rules for now and then add others as this comes along?)

"Yes, I am new here, too. I'm far away from home in search of an adventure. What about you? Can you tell me anything about these slums?"

Can I join now? I'm sorry if I'm intruding...

After a long time of travelling, Calixte found herself in a small town. It looked cosy so she decided to settle here but looking around she felt nervous. Would the others accept her? It it safe? Looking towards a particular area of town, she noticed a gathering of girls. It looked like the slums and she reluctantly walked closer to see who they were.

From the corner of her eye, Reene could see another young girl walking towards the two girls talking about the slums.

"What a gathering this is turning out to be," She wondered whether it'd be wise to get out of hiding and talk to these girls....It might just be useful to make friends with them. One looked like a fighter, the other a magical person of some kind. The one approaching she couldn't make up her mind about yet. She decided to wait for that girl to come and get in the conversation before deciding whether to introduce herself.

As for the two girls, they didn't seem to know each other. Their conversation was not what she had expected it to be. Polite pleasantries, mostly. Nothing interesting. Her ears perked up when she heard the fighter asked about the slums though. Now this was what she wanted.

"I am new here, too. So far, I know nothing about this slums, but I heard that there was once a dragon who was making this area dangerous, however, some girl went on and killed him off, it is very interesting indeed, that a girl can go on and destroy sch a monster, I'll defintely want to know she is.", Celia said with interest.

"Wow! A dragon? Now that is amazing. I want to meet this girl, too," replied Sara. She was thinking that finding this girl would help her to find an adventure for herself.

"Oh who is that one approaching us?" Sara pointed to another young girl walking towards the two of them.

Calixte walked closer apprehensively,
"Oh, hello... I'm sorry if I'm interrupting your conversation. It's just that I don't really know anyone here? Are you locals?" She said trying to hide her embarrasment. Looking around she got a bad feeling about the place. They were all wearing clothes fit for combat or conjouring spells and she felt odd dressed in a school uniform,
"Uhh... is this place dangerous? Oh, I'm being rude. I'm sorry for not introducing myself. My name's Calixte It's nice to meet you I suppose, would you mind me asking your names?" She asked as she scanned the area and examined the surroundings. Subconsciously, she pulled up her loose socks to try to conceal her bare legs revealed by her short skirt.
"Oh no! I'm sorry about this. I didn't realise what I was wearing," She said going red.

Hm...so the dragon was defeated by a woman knight. She shuffled through her memories, wondering if she had happen to meet that woman anywhere when she still lived here. But most of them were nobles or peasants. No one struck her as someone strong and brave enough to do that. She remembered slightly a girl with blinding pink hair for some reason, but she only met her once in the slums and that was it. Still, the news was interesting. She wondered what happened to the criminals that were stuck in the slums. She was nearly stuck in it herself....

The new girl approached and started to introduce herself. Apparently, she was named Calixte, wearing the uniform of a..."schoolgirl?" Reene thought incredulously. But yup, a schoolgirl uniform it was...A very short and strange one, but was nonetheless, rather recognizable as one.

Reene laugh lightly. This could turn out to be interesting after. A witch (or whatever, she couldn't keep the magical branches straight), an adventurer, and a school girl.

Without a noise, Reene stepped out of the shadows and revealed herself to the girls, only a few feet away from them. She smiled and started to walk towards them.

As a new girl approached, Celia felt unusual.
"Who are you?", Celia said as she didn't trust the new girl.

The witch asked her who she was harshly.

She sighed inside. "Witches," she thought, "have much too sharp an intuition for their own good." But no matter how sharp the witch was, she couldn't possibly discover anything about Reene she didn't want to know, she had belief in her own abilities to lie. And it wasn't like Reene had any evil intentions, per say. She decided to keep with her original plan to join the group.

Outwardly, Reene stopped just a bit away from group, as if wanting to join but was too shy to join. She bowed her head apologetically, "Sorry...Ah...My name's Reene. I probably shouldn't be here...? I guess I'm intruding? You guys all look like you know each other."

She blushed and continued, "It's just...This is my hometown, you see." Reene had learned before that lying is best done with mixed truths.

"And last time I saw it, this entire place was like a criminal haven. And now, when I come back, it's all gone and everything. And I just...er...was passing by and heard a little bit of what you said...About the slums. And you all look new here, and I don't know anyone here anymore. So I just came by to ask if I could stick with you or...But I guess not...?"

She raised her head and looked pleadingly at the adventurer, then at the witch. A triumphant song sounded in Reene's head. Perfectly acted.

OCC: LovePheonix: It's spelt 'Calixte' without the 'a' just so you know, not that I really care though.

Calixte looked at the aproaching girl and was rather frightend by her attire. She stepped away from her but tried to smile,
"... So this is your home town? Uhh... it's nice to see some one who's from around here I guess," She said trying to avoid her eyes thinking now that there was something strange going on in the town.
"I think I heard that monsters that reside somewhere here, are they all gone? I'd hate to have to- ugh, nevermind." Feeling that she was just being paranoid Calixte discontinued her sentence and looked around at the other girls. She thought none of them looked very wealthy so she swiftly hid her right hand behind her back which bore a silver ring encrusted with a large diamond on her ring finger; not wanting to give the impression that she was wealthy or snobby incase she would be shunned by them.

Sara noticed that Calixte was hiding something behind her back but for now decided not to say anything about it.

"It's a pleasure to meet you all as well. Calixte, is it? And you are Reene. As Celia mentioned, I'm Sara. I'm new here, far away from home in search of an adventure.

That's great that you're familiar with this area, Reene. Perhaps you can show us around."

((Did I miss something? Why does Calixte thinks Celia accepted me but Celia is yelling at me...? Isn't that Sara?)

"Ah!" Reene blushed, really flustered this time. She was cursing herself. So the sorceress could read mind as well. Much too sharp. She quickly re-enforced her mind so it couldn't be breached so easily. "Sorry, sorry. I never had any magical training other than some things picked up on the road, so I didn't know."

And that was true. Making her mind hard to breach was one of the things she had learned. To be on the safe side, she made her mind blank and focused only on what she was saying. At least Celia and Calyxte seemed more friendly.

Reene turned to Sara and Calyxte and smiled warmly, actually not completely faking it this time. Being welcomed and having a break from hostility like that of the sorceress Celia was enough for her to like them , "I actually haven't been home for awhile, so I'm not sure if my information's all correct. But the dragon's all gone, and the dungeons, where all the monsters resided is filled in too, so I don't think monsters are left."

She turned around and looked at the slums. "That being said, it's not really safe four girls to be clustered around the slums. The monsters are gone, but I can't imagine all the criminals would be. Some probably still live here."

"We can go to the inn or something. I was too young when I left to drink, but the locals all said it had good ale. It'd be easier to talk there too..."

OCC: It's fixed now. Sorry about that though. And I also noticed I spelled area 'are' so for those of you who didn't understand it I'm sorry also.
And did I confuse you or something? It seems that you wrote 'atleast CELIA and Calixte were more friendly' isn't that ment to say Sara?

"Umm... I'm sorry too, I don't drink and I don't feel comfortable going into somewhere with lots of people I don't know; especially if they're drunk but I suppose I ought to come along anyway." Said Calixte not wanting to be left alone in a place that was potentially dangerous.

((I know. I'm sorry. Must have been messed up in my mind somehow. Both are "phoenix"....But the next sentence was right in names).

"Ah...really?" Reene smiled awkwardly at Celia, "Wow. Orchid's a really talented magical user. I thought you were completely new here, but I guess not... Maybe we'll see each other again then."

She sighed inside, really regretting joining the girls now. It was risky letting people know she existed already, but to have a sorceress who knew Orchid was even worse. She remembered Orchid from the times she came there with her Mother, who was quite a socialite. Orchid was maybe even sharper than Celia. But it'd be stupid to back out now for no reason. They'd wonder about her.

She turned to Calixte and laughed reassuringly, "It's fine. It's not too late yet, so I can't imagine anyone would already be drunk. And we don't have to drink. There's food too, and I'm getting hungry, I don't know about you. And I was going to go there anyway to get a room for the night, but it's up to you whether or not you want to come."

She looked at Sara questioningly, "Are you coming too?"

Sara followed Calixte and Reene to the inn to grab a bite to eat.

"Bye guys.", Celia said and went up to Orchid's house, it wa summer afte all and Orchid would have nothing to do at the colleguim.
Celia knocked the door quietly, and soon a purple haired woman opened the door, Orchid.

"Hey Orchid, remember me?"

"Alright then, let's all go. I think it was this way..."

She turned around and started to walk to where she thought the inn was in a pace that was much slower than how she usually walked. People still stared at her covered in her sweeping cloak and hood, but she felt safer being covered like this. She ignored other people's glances.

Finally, she came to the inn. Reene waved to the other girls, "Over here." She then stepped inside.

"Wow, Orchid, this place is still the same."

"It is."

"Where's Rose?"

"She is studying in her room."

Calixte stepped inside after Reene and looked around at the inn, it was more welcoming than she expected but still made sure not to let her guard down,
"This place looks interesting. Uhh.. what do they have here? And is this the only inn there is? Not that there's anything wrong with it but I just find it sort of strange." Calixte asked while getting a better look of the place.
"So, does this place work like a restaurant?" Calixte9 asked as she sat down at a table.

Sara followed Reene and took a look inside the inn. It was a bit small but cozy. Sara liked it. Sitting down at the same table as Calixte, Sara wondered as well what there was to eat.

"I wonder what kind of food they serve here."

"She has to work harder, I don't want the same thing happen to her."

"So anyways why are you here?"

"I wanted an adventure, and I ended up meeting three girls, one who is really nice, other that is really shy and the last one...she is pretty...I don't know, but I don't trust her."

As soon as she stepped inside the warm and cozy inn, Reene loosened up. Inns were places she liked. A good bed, good food, a safe haven until she went outside again and on with the life that she chose. The life that caused most nuns to slam the door in her face.

She stared off vacantly until Calixte and Sara came in. They promptly sat down at a table, and she joined them. As warm as the place was, she kept her cloak and hood on, as strange as that might be for passersby. You never knew who you'd meet at an inn.

Calixte started to ask about the inn, and Sara wondered about its food.

Reene laughed, "Are you guys both gluttons?"

She waved over a waitress, who asked in monotone what they wanted. Reene replied, "Some plain stuff for me. Just soup and bread. I'll also need a room for the night, and can you pack up a few day of smoked meat, bread, and cheese for me as well?"

She then looked at the two girls, "Whatever you guys like. It's like a hotel and a diner rolled into one. As far as I know, this is the only inn, but it's pretty comfortable and cheap."

"I see, what is her name?", Orchid asked with a look of interest.

"Reene, I think."

"Hmm...I don't know if I heard this name before."

"Well, they went to the inn, I suppose I can meet them there now."

"You are leaving that fast?"

"Well, a sorceress like me wants adventures.", Celia said, winked and left.


She walked to the Inn, deep in thought, the two girls, Sara and Calixte, seemed normal to her, but the third girl was interesting.
She entered and found the three girls sitting around a table.

"Hey guys, missed me already?", Celia said jokingly as she sat beside them.

OCC: Sorry for the length of Calixte's 'speech'.

"Uhh... I don't think I'll have anything... But I would like a room for the night also," Calixte said as Celia came in,
"Oh, Celia! Your back! It's great to see you again!" But looking at Reene, she fell silent, becoming suddenly interested in the arrangement of her socks.
"Celia," Calixte began after a while, "What is it that makes you dislike Reene? I believe everyone should have a place to belong, people to love and be loved in return for who they truly are and I too, might fear her, suspect her of bad things but I all the same wish for her those things. You might not understand why I say such things, you may believe what is evil just is evil but please give her a chance..." Looking at Reene she continued,
"I also believe that you shouldn't hate someone simply because they dislike you, that shows that you dislike the way you are and you must always have faith that you can be a good person." Then looking to wards a wall she stared out the window and added quietly,
"Even though I don't always think in line to this I always try to remember it when I address others, especially ones I've newly met..."

Sara looked over at the waitress and replied,

"Hmm, let's see now. I'll have the same thing as well," pointing to what Reene ordered.

The waitress noted down the orders and went to deliver them to the cook.

Sara noticed that Celia had returned, quite quickly, she thought. Then Calixte seemed to be reprimanding both Celia and Reene. She thought,

Hmm, I wonder what brought this on. Better stay out of it for now.

Calixte, rather shocked at what she had just said to the girls she had just met and seeing the look on Sara's face, she quickly added,
"Oh my, I'm very sorry for what I just said. It's just that I ran away from home to get away from all the judgment and start up fresh where others would respect me for who I am and not just because I'm a pretty girl who has the most popular boyfriend at school. I don't want to sound as though I want everyone to think like me."

"Oh, well, you see, I quite new to this place, so I don't really trust anyone that easily.", Celia said with a friendly face.

OCC: LovePheonix: I'm really sorry if Calixte wasn't supposed to know, it's just that when Celia said 'Witch?! Who do you think am I?! I am a sorceress!', because of your use of exclamation marks, one would guess that it was said in and angered manor. Since Calixte didn't know anything about Reene calling Celia a witch, she would suspect there was something going on there and also when Celia left after Reene suggested to go to the inn to grab a drink, she (being paranoid) automatically thought there was a connection. I hope it's alright with you though.

"Well, I'm glad your back. I would like to be friends and like I said, you don't have to agree with me, I was just getting carried away..." Calixte said feeling slightly embarrassed.

"You already ordered food, guys? And I am starving!", Celia said with a joking tone. "Well, I suppose I can ask the waitress for a snack when she comes, can't I?", Celia winked.

I have to show that there's nothing weird so that nobody thinks anything bad in me.

"Yup, that's fine, Celia." Sara smiled towards her.

Soon, the waitress came back with Reene's and Sara's orders. Although the food was simple, it was plenty so it would definitely satiate their hunger.

"Is there anything else?" asked the waitress.

Sara replied, "If possible, I'd like to rent a room for the night for myself. What about the rest of you?"

"Did you say you wanted a snack, Celia? I wouldn't mind waiting a little longer." She smiled at Celia and then turned the to others,
"Everybody's got to eat eat don't they?" she laughed, as though half trying to convince herself. She smiled to herself as she thought she had got of to a good start with the girls and perhaps, after all, there was hope for her to start a new life in this quiet town.

Reene sat there, silent, as Celia came into the inn and joined the girls. She came back for some ulterior motive, that was obvious. "Monitoring her, perhaps?" Reene thought with an hidden amused smile.

Reene sat there, silent, as Calixte gave her speech of love and trust for the entire world to both Celia and her. It was as if Calixte thought she was an all-knowing priestess on a mission to spread love and trust.

Reene sat there, silent, as Calixte gave her big reveal of her past. Pain, humiliation, outcast, the like. Reene wondered vaguely how Calixte got out and if the act was running away or finding freedom. Then again, she didn't care.

Reene sat there silent as the conversation lost its awkwardness, and regained its normality, but with what was said hanging over their heads and the awkwardness just lurking under the table.

Reene, then, silently, put some coins on the table to pay for their meals, and left the table, not looking back at Calixte, the girl who knew nothing about life, at Celia, the girl who obviously came back to prod and probably had the power and connections to do so, and Sara, the girl who stood silently watching without any wish to get involved - perhaps the quality that ticked her off the most.

As she went up the stairs to her room, she thought back to her decision to join their group, and shook her head slightly. That was probably her worse decision. Ever.

Celia watched as Reene left without a word. She still thought that girl had something weird, but decided to stay silent about it as she didn't want to start any trouble.

Sara thought to herself,

Hmm, I wonder what's up with that Reene person. I'll have to investigate this further. Something's up. It's as though she doesn't trust us. Well, I suppose we're all from out of town so no wonder...

Feeling tired, Sara yawned. She turned to Celia and Calixte.

"I'm pretty exhausted from traveling. I'm going to check up on my room for the night and get some sleep. I'll see you all in the morning?"

"Sure thing." Calixte said looking blankly at Sara for a while but stood up herself to go. She thought to herself, that the girls here appeared nice though she was certain that she hadn't gotten to know them in the least.
"I suppose I'll go out for some air for a while," She said leaving for the outside, it was later than she imagined but she seemed to find a liking for being outside, alone in the evening. She thought to herself 'I was always the most popular girl in school though I didn't feel that I really belonged with the popular people, I especially hated the way they would sometimes act good to people when it's obvious the don't intend to be.'

She walked around for awhile but stopped when she realized that she'd wondered a bit too far.
"Well, all my family and friends must think I'm dead by now, all except James but know one will believe him if he tried to tell anyone," she thought aloud as she headed back toward the inn.

OCC: Pardon me for asking but does anyone have a plan for where this RP is heading? It slightly bewildering to me at the moment and I don't know if the ways I'm making Calixte react are appropriate.

OOC: I actually don't know, let's just continue until we get this to be exciting, hopefully.

Celia watched as Sara went up to her room and Calixte went outside, she was alone, and after a while, the waitress came up with her dinner, Celia ate slowly, deep in thought, the girls are nice with her, she trusted them all - except for Reene who she didn't trust at all -. It was like the girl was trying to avoid them, or kinda regretting joinning them in the first place, she wondered if her thoughts were true.

After eating her dinner, she put the dinner's cost on the table and went outside where Calixte where, seeing her there, she walked up to her and talked,

"How long have you been travelling? I suppose we can also have a rest for the night, what do you think?", she tried to speak as friendly as she can.

Comfortable in her bed, Sara pondered over all that had happened that day and whom she had met. Everyone seemed nice at first glance although each girl had her own quirks. Like Celia had to see Orchid. Sara wondered what exactly was the relationship between the two. And Calixte seemed to be the usual schoolgirl but there had to be more beyond the appearance. And Reene, she seemed reluctant to want to hang out with them but Sara wondered why. Maybe she was used to being a longer. Who knows?

Well, guess I'll see what tomorrow brings.

(@Calixte: Hmm, I have no idea what direction this RP will go, either. I did ask early on whether there should be an objective or goal but everyone seems all right with this thread just going with the flow. If it does seem a bit open-ended, though, I think lill_sweetty had some ideas and I might try to come up with some.)

((I feel like we're playing a game of "Continue the Story" right now, where someone comes with 1-2 lines of the plot, and the others fill it in. I like surprises...It's fine to me. Any suggestions can be said, though.))

Reene went up to her room, but she had no desire to fall asleep. She had other things to do. Maybe she'd come back, maybe not, she didn't know.

Her dagger and money was securely tied around her waist, prepared for any trouble. She had her hood on, and her clothes and cloak were common. No one would be able to recognize her in the dark, she was sure.

She slipped out of the window, at a speed that made her look like nothing more than a shadow. From the corner of her eyes, she saw Calixte and Celia talking. She paused for a moment, watching them, and in that moment, she was visible for all to see. But in the next second, she was gone, away to wherever she was going.

Calixte saw Celia coming towards her and proceeded to talk.
"If you really want to know, I've been traveling for about... 6 months I think. I know it seems like a long time for someone like me who's not equipped for exploration," Calixte said brushing her clothes,
"But I haven't found somewhere that I belong; the only place I had before, well... I've lost the thing that made me feel safe. How about yourself?" She said with a smile. Wondering what the other girls thought about her and each other, she asked
"What do you think of the other girls we met today? I guess you don't have to tell me if you don't trust me. I mean, I would understand. So your a sorceress and you can do magic?" She asked with a smile,
"What can you do? Do you fight with it?" She sounded rather excited in the mention of magic but grew serious when she mentioned fighting.
"And there was a dragon here too? Please tell me all you know. You must help me understand... Uhh, I'm sorry we should talk inside."

Calixte scanned the area for a moment and she thought she the a shadow of something moving very fast, perhaps it was just a cat. She walked quickly back into the inn, pulling Celia, eager to find out what she knew.

Celia smiled. "Have a seat then and let us talk.", she said and made Calixte take a seat and she sat.

"I think it's pretty clear that Sara and you are very nice, and I think you are trustworthy, but Reene...to be honest with you I don't trust her, she doesn't seem to be trutworthy, I mean, she looks like avoiding us.", Celia said and put her hand under her cheek. "I have been travelling for a year now, and I never actually had friend, mostly because I never trusted anybody around, but you and and Sara did gra my attention though.", Celia said as she smiled warmly to Calixte.
"And yup, I do wield magic, mostly elemental magic but I can also heal, you know, it can get dangerous in fights and you have to heal yourself at least once every fight.", she said and winked. "I have heard about that dragon recently, it is said that some girl entered and defeated it, it seemed unbelievable to me, but I guess everything is possible.
I was thinking, maybe we shold go get a rest now, and in the morning, we all go to the Slums and ask who really destroyed that dragon? I am very excitedto meet her whoever she was."

"Yes, I can tell that you don't really trust Reene and I don't really trust her either but for some reason I get the feeling she's a good person. You say you can heal and you heal yourself in battle? I wish I were brave enough to fight. How strong are you healing powers? I mean could you... Never mind I shouldn't ask. It is getting late anyway. See you in the morning I guess." Calixte left for her room hoping that Celia wouldn't suspect her of hiding things or avoiding them.

Celia wondered what Calixte wanted to ask her. "Sigh, I am too tired to think, I think I'll go get some sleep." she said as she exited the Inn, wondering where she could really sleep. But then she remembered the Church and that they do offer a place to sleep for those who are pure hearted.

She entered the church and met the nun who was there.

"Excuse me, but is it tre you offer a place to stay here? I think I spent all my money on the food, Ha ha." Celia said rubbing the back of her head.

"Yes, we do offer for those who are pure hearted, and I sense you are, you are welcome to stay here."

"Um, thank you." Celia said wtih a smile.

She moved through the night effortlessly and silently. There was no one else on the streets. Before long, she was walking along the familiar path back to the mansion that she had spent so many years captive in.

She knew the place as easy as she had so many years ago, and she was able to avoid any roaming guards or maids. She finally ended up in the empty main living room, where her mother often greeted her guests.

It was pitch-black, and Reene lighted a match she had on her. Her eyes moved across the room, and finally, landed on an old chest. She knelt down beside it and took out a lockpick-a very good one she had to pay an arm and a leg for, but that had so far, not failed her. A few minutes twiddling with it and the chest popped open, revealing books, clothes, and jewelry. But she was only interested in one thing tonight.

She rummaged through, and finally, at the bottom, found what she wanted. A small red velvet packet tied with a string, which she swiftly undid. The cloth fell open, and revealed a necklace that shined brilliantly even with only the feeble light of her match.

Suddenly, she heard footsteps coming nearer to the room. She gasped, stuffed the necklace into her pouch for safekeeping, closed the chest without a sounding, and flew out the window.

The sun was shining brightly through the window the next morning, allowing Sara to fully wake up and get ready to enjoy the day. She had a good night's sleep and was ready to tackle whatever the day may bring. Sara got out of bed, washed up, and got dressed. Then she went down to the restaurant to have some breakfast.

I hope to see the others here today. I wonder what I should do today. Perhaps find out who slayed that dragon?

Going to her room, Calixte stuffed her backpack quickly under her bed for storage and looked at her clothes. She'd worn the same set for quite a while but she washed her clothes whenever she got the chance. The uniform was rather dirty and slightly stained with blood in some places which she tried not to look at; she knew the blood was not hers. Calixte got out a fresh set that looked identical to her current one and changed into it before falling asleep on the bed.

The next morning she woke up to a bright day. Seeing that Sara was already up, Calixte grabbed her bag and quickly joined her.
"Good morning Sara! How are you today?" Realising that she was alone, she continued,
"Oh, err... where are the others? Have they left? Did they have something important to do?" Calixte stopped for a while and smiled at Sara.
"I'm sorry, never mind me." She sat quietly and proceeded to fumbled about in her backpack.

She looked up when she had landed on the ground. She saw light coming from the window now, and it was still open. A dead giveaway. But she hoped it was nothing more than a maid that was in there. Hopefully, a dumb one.

She jumped down from the tree and went back to the inn, again through the window. She stripped off her dirty cloak, and opened up her pouch, where the necklace still hid. She dangled it in front of her, a smile-slightly cold, slightly wistful, slightly sad-forming on her lips. She put it on. The smile stayed on her lips, even when she laid down on the inn's warm bed and went to sleep.

The next morning, Reene went downstairs. She had fresh clothes on her and a new cloak. The old one was too scratched and dirty from the night's work. Her new necklace was in full view, worn proudly on her throat. She spotted the girls and felt more forgiving today, so she went to join them.

"Did you all sleep well?" She asked to all three.

Sighing because Sara hadn't said anything, Calixte looked at Reene and then to the necklace. She wondered where she'd got it or if she always had it; if it was a greatly treasured piece like her ring or just something that looked pretty.
"Oh, uhh... hello Reene. It's great to see you again!" She exclaimed trying to sound enthusiastic and feeling that she shouldn't mention the necklace.
"So... how is everyone today?" Trying to shake her apprehension, she told herself to forget the necklace and that she probably had it all along. After all she hadn't been too good at revealing her secrets either. Calixte quickly closed her bag hoping that no one caught a glimpse of what was inside.
'If they knew,' she thought, 'They'd be sure to ask questions!'

Sara hadn't responded for a bit, being in her own thoughts. She noticed the rest of the girls came and sat down for breakfast. Reene had what looked like a new necklace on her and Calixte looked like she was hiding something in her bag. As for Celia, nothing seemed out of the ordinary for her but yet Sara could not allow her guard to go down.

Realizing that continuing to be silent would be quite rude, she spoke up.

"Hi everyone! Sorry for not saying anything more. Guess I'm not the morning person. So how is everyone? Should we go order some food?"

Sara asked a waitress to come over so that they could order some breakfast.

"What would you like?" asked the waitress.

"Let's see. I'd like some biscuits, butter, and milk for me," replied Sara to the waitress. "What about the rest of you?"

She suggested as to try to keep a conversation going between the others. she was glad that Sara had joined in and decided that she probably didn't need to speak for a while. She hated talking, especially about herself though wasn't exactly a 'quiet' type.

(Sorry guys! A really boring wedding of some long-lost relative I just found out about a few states away had me out for a long time.))

"Buttered toast," She told the waitress.

Then, Reene looked back at the girls. After last night, when she had realized her skill in stealing again, she chose no longer act nice in front of the girls. But she wasn't going to leave them. No, she was far to curious, and she was in a good mood. But she wasn't going to hold back whatever she thought or felt.

Reene arched her eyebrows when she heard they were discussing about finding the dragonslayer.

"That's impossible. If she's as good as fighting as she sounds-since she killed the dragon-she must be a hero, which means she could be anywhere in the kingdom. If she isn't, she must be working for the royal family, in which case, how do we approach her? And if it so happens that she travels and is somehow near here, why haven't we heard? Surely such news of a famous person would be known throughout?"

Her eye traveled to Calixte, who had just crammed something into her backpack, and then looked back up, her eyes whirling around and around. Guilt was etched all over her face.

"Calixte, what do you have in there? May we see?"

"Oh, in here?" Calixte said trying to sound natural and keeping the panic out of her voice.
"Well, some clothes, books and stuff. Just my stuff for traveling. You don't have to look, I didn't take much with me when I left so it's nothing interesting. I mean you can look if you really want but it's really nothing." She said pulling out her uniform from the bag. Hoping that she didn't seem too suspicious, Calixte smiled at them. She told herself 'There's nothing wrong if they find out, it's not like you have anything truly bad. Besides they'll always find out sometime anyway.' However she knew that this would not do, especially for Reene, who seemed to be acting a bit unusual. Sighing, she picked up her backpack and hugged it to her chest as though it were something that needed protecting.
"Well, if this heroin had a secret identity or didn't want others to know who she was then it wouldn't be a wonder that nobody know about it. I still think we should look into it." She trying to take the conversation away from her.

"I doubt she has some secret identity. You can sink back into the background after you do something as huge as that." As she said these words, Reene smiled a little to herself. She did just that last night, but no one was going to find out soon. When they did, she probably have left already....

"Really? It's nothing?" Reene frowned. The stamp on Calixte's forehead that said "GUILTY" was bigger than ever.

"Come on. It can't just be clothes, or there'd be no need to hide it. We'll be traveling together, so we'd find out anyway."

OCC: Yeah, it's fine. I sort of inferred that we were using it anyway so yeah.

Calixte realized the Reene would keep insisting to find out what was in her bag so she held it over the table inside there were a uniform set, a thick book, a purse, some golden hair ornaments and something airy, lacing and white that seemed to be folded up.
"Look, see? Nothing suspicious." She said trying to smile and hoping that she would not be questioned anymore..
"Anyway. I think we could start looking at a library. I think I saw one when I was coming in but I wasn't sure. I'd like to find out some history, especially since magic seems to be common around here. ...Magic..." A sad look showed on her face for an instant but then disappeared to be replaced with a genuine smile. She thought her interest in magic would sound rather normal.

"The library? I would love to go there!" Celia said with a real look of happiness, she always loved reading, and for some reason, she never got bored of it.
Even though Celia was in a happy mood, she didn't like when Reene asked Calixte about what's in her bag, she always respected privacy and she didn't like Reene's behavior.
Weird enough, she didn't want to say anything about it, even though this wasn't her personality, she noticed that if she talked, she might bring up a problem, so she decided to stay silent about it for now.

"As you wished." Reene shrugged. Her eyes scanned the stuff Calixte brought out. The white and lacy thing...What was it? It looked like something a bride would wear. But Calixte really did seem keen to hide it. Whatever it was, she was probably going to tell them at a later date. Calixte was that type of a trusting person. Reene made a mental note to stick around until then.

She heard them talking about going to the library and finding out about the dragonslayer. She liked that idea. The library was a good place to get to know things.

"Fine, let's go then." She flashed them all a bright smile. However, in a quick motion, she inconspicuously tucked the pendant of her necklace under her shirt, and touched the rim of her face to make sure no hair was sticking out. Better be safe than sorry, especially since she used to sneak to the library often for pleasure. Believed it or not, Reene enjoyed books. The things to see, to know, was astounding.

Calixte quickly set to eating and as glad that Reene had discontinued questioning her. Sighing inwardly, she thought 'What has become of the world?" She examined the others though trying not to stare. It made her think that they were far better accomplishments then she would ever be, or even dare to be. She always needed others to protect her but she was determined to change that. Silently, she laughed at the thought.

Quickly finishing her meal she prepared to leave the inn. For now, Celia Reene and Sara were her companions and she mustn't be a burden to them. She must try to be well behaved, argue as less as possible and do everything they wanted to do. And though she wanted to help, it began to sink in that much of the time, she just caused problems. But none of that mattered because she left home so she could start up fresh and contemplate what it is that she truely valued.

"Well, I guess talking to people about it could be a good idea, but I don't think we'd would be done at the library for perhaps a while. I guess we'll have to go to the castle eventually but castles make me feel... well, uncomfortable." Calixte remarked though not really wanting them to take her thought into consideration and wishing that she hadn't said anything.

'If you never said anything, then they'll never have anyway of knowing about it! If you never said that castles make you feel uncomfortable then they should never think to ask why!' Calixte scolded herself and decided to make an effort to avoid seeming like she was apprehensive of a lot of things.

Reene heard them discuss about castles as she munched on some toast. She only half-hearted listened to the conversation, even though she knew it would provide vital clues about the three girls-or more specifically, Calixte. Her mind was preoccupied elsewhere.

Calixte told them all that castles reminded her of death and she disliked them. Reene thought back to her little journeys down to the servants' quarters, to the gossip and the bawdy laughter and the music and the people... Celia rattled off about how warm and comforting it was in a castle, and Reene remembered the days wandering in that crowded dining hall, not by herself, and yet alone.

Only as the girls stood up and prepared to leave the inn did she utter her only comment throughout the conversation. Her voice disattached and quiet, so that it could barely be heard over the scraping of her chair against the wooden floor as she stood up, she said,

"Castles are not the image of perfectness commoners like to think of it as. Whatever warmth it has is kept to the world of commoners -the servants- and a few blessed people... No, they're frightening...but not because of a tangible fear like death or execution. Nobles wouldn't sully their castle. That is left to assassins, to the gallows, to places like the slums... No, what's truly frightening about them...is being lost and alone in that crowd of people. The suffocation of the court... Everything hidden underneath a thick layer of perfume and courtesy. It's sickening."

With that, she walked out the door and headed to the library, ahead of everybody. She couldn't deal with seeing them right now...She breathed in deeply as she walked, recomposing herself.

Sara paid for her meal and overnight room. leaving a tip. Then she followed Reene to the library. All the while, she was thinking to herself.

Hmm, that Reene character sure is a mysterious one. It looks like she'd rather be off by herself than hanging out with any one of us. I'd better be careful not to reveal too much of myself for now.

Calixte paid and seeing Sara leave a tip, so did she. Pondering over Reene's remark, she felt tension grow around her.
'She talks of commoners as though she is not one herself. It is perfectly likely that she is, or was a noble at some point.' Calixte thought as she reluctantly exited the inn. Where she used to live castles ceased to exist but there were plenty of tales and stories about them.' She thought.

Although she continued walking, she left her mind wander back to the events of about a year ago.

After leaving the inn, Reene, Sara, Calixte, and Celia headed towards the library. They passed by the shop on the way.

Interesting...I'll make a note to drop by the shop later.

They arrived at the library with no trouble and entered, seeing a shy librarian sitting at a desk filing some books. The librarian noticed the group of travelers enter and said,

"Hello there. You all look new around here. What may I do for you?"

Reene replied, keeping her voice and gaze low,

"We're trying to find the whereabouts of a person...The person that killed the dragon and cleaned out the slums. Do you know about her?"

The librarian frowned at her and was silent for a few seconds. Finally, she asked,

"Do I know you? I'm sure I do. You sound like one of the helpers I had...I can't remember who but-"

Reene cut across quickly, "No, I've never been here. At least, not often. Reading doesn't help you in life much. You must be mistaken."

The librarian frowned again, "Really? I could've sworn I knew your voice..." Then, she shrugged and turned to the rest of the girls, "It doesn't matter. Anyway, you all want to know about our Queen?"

Calixte entered the library and shrunk to the back of the group when they started talking to the librarian. Though she listened and was interested about this dragon, she had her own reasons for being there and didn't want to take any of the librarian's time if the rest of the girls were going to ask.
Looking around she saw that the books were on a wide variety of things, several interested her.
But the librarian had said queen, had their queen slain the dragon? She stayed quiet and patiently listened on though she hoped that she'd get the opportunity to look through the books herself. She would, however, not tell the girls about her motives for coming to the library. They did not need to be concerned with it and what if they thought her to be obsessive or psychotic? Besides, it seemed that the librarian knew Reene, or at least someone like her, this could be enough of a matter in itself.

The librarian smiled at Celia's questions, "Most strangers are surprised too... Our queen is special. She was an orphan and had a pretty rough life, but she was both courageous and charming. She fought the dragon and apparently, also won our prince's heart. Rumor has it that the prince chose her from all the other girls and went to his parents himself to ask to marry her. At that time, she was already called a hero everywhere, because she had already killed the dragon. It's not like they could've said no. So they let the two marry....But it seems the King's parents like her very much too..."

The librarian sighed, "Amazing story, isn't it? Better than any fairy tale I've ever heard...." She looked away for a moment, her eyes sad, turning to them again, "Ah, yes, I forgot to tell you. If you want to meet her, she should be at the festival a few weeks from now, to crown the new Flower Queen."

As the librarian was saying this, Reene turned around and saw Calixte skulking by herself in a corner, searching for something. Reene murmured a soft thank you to the librarian before approaching Calixte,

"Are you searching for something, Calixte? I thought you wanted to find out about the dragonslayer?"

"Wow, that's quite a story," replied Sara. She was quite amazed that anyone could slay a dragon and then become queen and it was one who was an orphan, too.

I definitely must meet her, if for no other reason than to find out more about her fighting skills.

Then she remembered something about the librarian saying that the prince's parents liked the dragonslayer, too. The way she said that sounded strange.

Maybe something's up with that. Well, the librarian did say that the new queen will be at the festival in a few weeks so I should make it a point to attend.

Sara saw that Celia looked down and wanted to see what was wrong.

"Hey, Celia. What's the matter?"

She was slightly troubled by this but since Sara was already with her, she didn't think it would be good to crowd.
'I might as well look around,' she though to herself as she quietly went about her own business. She didn't really mind Reene watching her, it wasn't too hard to give half answers as long as it was the truth.

Aya is a member of the secret group called "Sorcellerie" which practices magic spells... spells alchemy and any other sign of magic is not allowed in her city so0o0o people like her is being hunted and shot in front of the towns people...

one night while their in a meeting a group of soldiers raided the place and killed many of her group members... aya and 3 group members managed to escape into the forest but the soldiers managed to catch on... the 3 were shot dead and aya just run off... not seeing were she was going she fall down a cliff and into the river...

in the morning she woke up i the bank of the river.. her clothes all torn and dirty she had some bruises and scars... she tried to walk and managed to reach a town she walked in and saw many people she don't know... suddenly she felt dizzy and fainted and fell to the ground and waited till someone helped her.....

Calixte approached a shelf with titles involving magic and taking a book from, sank to a corner to scan through it. After Celia had said that she was alright, she relaxed a little.
Looking through the contents of the book, she found nothing of interest to her so she carefully replaced the book on the shelf and took another. To her dismay, however, this book also contained nothing of which she wanted. Looking through the books more desperately, she was disappointed that a town that seemed so magical had nothing in her topic of interest.

After a while of looking through many books, she gave up. Breathing a sigh of defeat, she left the shelves and approached the rest of the girls feeling rather hopeless.

"Well, if you say so." Although Celia said that she was all right, Sara had a feeling that she was hiding something. However, it was not a good idea at the moment to poke her about it.

Wanting to explore the library on her own for a little while, Sara walked around. She wasn't interested in the books so much as the people that were there. Sara always felt that one could tell what people were like just by reading their faces. Most of the people looked like an ordinary townsfolk, nothing special about them.

She continued walking when suddenly she bumped into someone.

"Sorry about that. I should have been watching where I was going." Sara apologized.

"Oh no problems, miss. It's my fault."

Sara looked up to see who the voice belonged to and it was a tall, muscular man with blond hair. He definitely looked like he wasn't the type to go into a library.

Aya: came from? i can't, i don't remember..

Woman: 0o0oh i bet you will... the doctor will be back soon, he just went to the library... so0o0o i recommend you just rest ok...

Aya just wake up from rest and decided to stand up... a little bit hurt from her wounds she walked towards the window... and gazed... while looking at the town she noticed a girl standing in front of a big building with a sign on top "Library" she noticed that the girl was not here very long... Aya liked to go outside to have friends but the nurse said with wounds like she got she can't just live the hospital... s0o0o she went back to bed and just read a book that was placed over the table near her....

"I'm a teacher at the college here. I teach students all about combat training."

Nurse: the Doctor just came and said it's amazing that your wounds heal fast and that your ready to live the hospital.

Aya: Really! well is he umm? i would like to meet the doctor who helped me and thank him.

Nurse: well i think that's impossible coz he is treating others, so he has no time to chitchat.

Aya: oh is that so. well thank you then. *stands up*

Nurse: oh almost forgot here's your things. this is what we have got from you when we saw you on the streets. *hands the bag and the clothes* and if you need anything you can come here and ask. ah question do you have a place to stay? any relatives around here?

Aya: um no. i don't even know were this is.

Nurse: oh is that so. well since you can't stay here coz sooner or later other patients will come in, you can stay in the church the nun's over there are kind or you can work for board over the inn. but with your wounds still not that healed i recommend you stay first at the church... i already told the nun's over there.

Aya: oh thank you very much for your help.

aya dressed up and is ready to go.

Aya: bye

Nurse: bye

aya walked out the hospital and walked, while walking he noticed the slums and decided to ask the man standing over there and walked towards him.

Calixte avoided Reene's questions and slinked away again, as usual.

Her eyes scanned the library, which was, of course, filled with books. She did this with no interest, until, suddenly, her eyes snagged on a poster. Her eyes widened, and she crossed the room in two strides.

She read the poster. A wanted sign for the necklace! But how could they know so quickly...? Unless...

Reene buried her head in her hands and groaned. She had forgotten to close the window as she left! How could she make such a stupid mistake? Another thought quickly followed her anger at herself. The girls saw the necklace. They knew she had it. If they saw the poster...

Her face drained of all color. She was good, but not to the point that she could fight off three girls, one a fighter, the other a sorceress, and especially not in daylight with countless people to help. She had to leave. She had to get out. Now.

She turned around and hurried out the exit, passing Sara chatting happily with a tall, muscular man.

Reene pushed open the door, but stopped suddenly. Right in front of her, Celia, Calixte, and another girl were deep in conversation, blocking her way. The girl looked badly torn up, but she had clever eyes and was chatting happily with Celia. Reene closed her eyes briefly. Another magic user. She didn't need this right now. But she couldn't just leave. They had already seen her.

Calmly, she approached the girls. "Who's this?" She asked curiously to Celia and Calixte.

"Really? I've wanted to be a fighter myself but I don't have any training."

"Ahh I see. Well, I can help you with that but of course, my classes don't come for free."

Sara looked down, realizing that she didn't have much money for such classes. There was no point in even considering taking classes if she didn't have the money to pay for them.

The man noticed this and replied,

"But there are plenty of jobs available in this town that will help you pay for classes.

Oh forgive my rudeness but we haven't been properly introduced yet. I'm Shane."

"It's nice to meet you, Shane. I'm Sara. I'm here with some friends that I recently met and we're finding out information about the one who slayed the dragon in the slums."

"Oh really? I can help out with that. I'd like to meet with your friends if it isn't too much trouble."

"Oh sure. I noticed that they went outside. Let's go see them."

Sara led the way with Shane following her. Outside, they saw Calixte, Celia, Reene, and a new girl chatting away.

Celia was talking to the new girl and she could tell that they didn't need her there. 'They're both magic users,' she thought smiling to herself though secretly slightly sad. Seeing that Reene was coming towards them, she discretely slid away from the group, behind the library, She saw a poster about a necklace that as stolen, 'Hmm, that looks like the necklace that Reene was wearing, that's rather suspicious.' If Reene had stolen something however, she thought that it wasn't really her business.

She continued walking in the direction Celia said the church was, reflecting upon what had just happened. 'Aya felt Celia's magical aura from so far away but could not sense mine, could it really be that her powers are that much stronger than mine?' She thought as she continued on. She hadn't told the other girls that she could perform magic, had they suspected it? Or maybe there was a way to hide your aura and she had subconsciously been doing it all along.

Calixte approach the church and stopping, made sure that no one else was around. She stared at her hand where a bright green glow was radiating from. A moment later, she ceased the glow and silently entered the church.

as she walked passed the church she saw some soldiers entering town going straight to the castle and recognize them as the soldiers of the city were she came from. she hurriedly slip inside the alley and hide herself. as she hid herself she heard the soldiers looking for a girl. she then knew she was the one they were looking for. as they entered the castle she hurriedly run into the entrance of the church and entered it. she then scanned the place and as she walked backwards looking upwards she then bumped into someone as she turned around she saw calixte and asked her

Aya: oh! it's you! why did you leave as awhile ago? and what are you doing here by the way?

Calixte, obviously not wanting to be talked to, slipped away again. Amazing how quickly that girl could leave a scene.

Celia introduced the new girl as Aya, another sorceress. Reene thought she saw Aya glance hostilely at her before she also left. Presumably she could see bits and pieces of people. But Reene let nothing on. She felt sure Aya could see nothing more than a glimmer. Having magical friends and some training paid off.

Celia turned away from Reene and got nearer a poster. Shock flickered onto Celia's eyes as she read it. Just that instant, Sara came, asking.

Why are they all coming at the same time? Reene thought angrily, her eyes busily scanning for a running place. Her eyes locked on the path to the church, and she ran, nothing more than a blur, quicker than she's ever run before. She wasn't sure whether Celia was following her or not. She merely ran. Seeing soldiers, she veered off to the side, into the church.

Reene leaned against a pillar and raised her head....

to see Calixte and Aya.

What is this? Why is the place crawling with them? Reene breathed deeply, trying to catch her breath. As soon as she step through the door, a nun approached her.

"I'm sorry, miss, but unfortunately, God's holy place can not house one such as yourself."

God, I don't need this right now.

Reene said this silently to herself, but aloud, she said, "And why is that?" Her mind was still racing. There had to be a way to escape! If only she had never met those girls or had hid her necklace. But it was to late to regret.

after introducing themselves calixte then slip further into the church. she noticed she don't want to talk so she turned around and saw renee on the entrance of the church talking to a nun. she then came nearer aya then breathed harder as she felt a darker aura as she approached renee. while she came nearer she saw the guards again roaming around so she decided to walked down the stairs as she go further she then came out in a stable with many horses and saw a man feeding a horse

Aya: 0o0oh sorry to intrude you, i will just leave now.

she then turned around before she takes a step the man said

Man: oh no not at all im just feeding my horse. you can stay if you want.
Aya: um right! i also need a place to standby for awhile.
Man: so your a trainee nun or the new stable girl?
Aya: stable girl!
Man: oh aren't you. sorry the last stable girl here is a legend now.
Aya: what do you mean?
Man: haven't you heard the story of the dragon and it's slayer?
Aya: well i have heard a part about it.
Man: oh you should know your history missy.
Aya: *with a high voice* well how would i know the history of this place if im not even from here duh!
Man: oh are you a new mover?
Aya: kind of like that
Man: well welcome to our town. im prince Nico son of king kirelan
Aya: prince?
Prince Nico: yes, never seen a prince before?
Aya: well i have seen many but not in a stable. i thought you were a stable boy *giggles*
Prince Nico: *a bit angry* what! with clothes like this i would look like a stable boy.

before finishing the sentence a man that looks like a babysitter came in.

Man: prince nico you must go back to the castle. quick! your father have guests from the city of Eviest.

Prince Nico then put his cape, and said

Aya:well his cute but ugh he's so annoying. OMG almost forgot why did the soldiers from the city came here? i hope some or more of my group members are still alive. i miss them. *gives the horse a hay*

she then heard footsteps going down to the stable.

Calixte was relieved that Aya had left and sat down in a shadowed corner so Reene could not see what she was doing. Calming herself and clearing her thoughts she began to meditate. Increasing the strength of her magic suddenly became important to her after it seemed that she did not give off a magical aura.

Calixte meditated for a while but then thoughts started to rise and form themselves inside her mind. She found it hard to concentrate and the more she tried it seemed the more demanding of attention they grew. Too many memories plagued her so she decided to go for a walk.
Exploring the church for a while she had come to the stables. Seeing Aya there, she smiled. She told herself that she just over reacted earlier. That though Aya seemed also to have secrets, Celia warmed up to her seemingly so easily and that she was just slightly envious. However she didn't approach Aya and just decided to watch for a while.

OCC: I'm so sorry for correcting you again and being so rude but I thought real horses dislike to be disturbed while eating, it makes them angry. However, I suppose we could make horses in the world of Cute Knight enjoy it.

Calixte took the hay from Aya and fed the horse. Patting it, she thought that the horses looked very majestic. Back where she came from there were no horses.
"Horses are... nice," She said though she knew it sounded rather stupid. Laughing at her last comment, she looked at Aya to examine her but tried not to stare.

aya was so happy to have a new friend. while feeding the horse she accidentally touched Calixte's hand aya's eyes turned color white and turned to its original color. she then said Aya: i see a dark past in you. aya looked slowly at calixte and suddenly fainted.

"Shane, this is Celia, one of my friends here. Celia, this is Shane. He's a teacher at the college."

Nun: this will be your room and your friend.

then gets some clean clothing from the little chest near the door of the room and hands it to aya.

"The Church is for those with a pure heart, and unfortunately, you..." The nun started to say, but Reene cut her off.

"Fine, I'll leave," She turned around, and started to walk proudly out of the church. Suddenly, she turned back, "But, I'll make this clear, I have absolutely nothing to feel guilty about. The way you measure the 'pureness' of human heart is nothing short of ridiculous.

She then left, deep in thought as she retraced her steps back to Celia and Sara. Reene was too tired and resigned to leave. She would try to persuade them as best as she could, hopefully without telling her secret. If she can't persuade them to not go to the authorities, she would try to escape then. And if she got captured, her last option-and her least liked option-would be to tell all to the authorities...

Her steps stopped suddenly, as she caught a glimpse of Celia, Sara, and the man she was with earlier. They were heading to the route she knew was the way to the authorities. She couldn't believe it! They hadn't bothered to ask her, hadn't bothered to chase her. They could've left her some doubt or mercy considering she was traveling with them! And yet, there they were, walking with no second thought to her!

She ran to them, and yanked one of Celia's arms. She ignored Sara and the man completely. Reene was positive Celia had thought up the idea of going to the authorities. Her calm facade was completely wiped away, and her eyes stared with an angry passion at Celia. "Where are you going? Aren't you going to say anything?"

Reene let go of Celia's arm, "Oh, of course. You'd just love to get that reward, wouldn't you?"

She scoffed, "What do you know about me? Nothing! But you think however you want of me, treats me like it, and then you're oh so gleeful whenever you find some evidence that reinforce your thoughts. Then you turn around and wonder why I'm such a horrible and nasty person, and why I can't be nice to you? Do you think you know everything? Because you know nothing. Nothing at all!"

"You arrogant brat!" Reene spat out the last of the words. A few strands of her hair had snuck out of her hood, and she impatiently pushed them back.

"And you know what? I don't even what the freaking necklace! You want it? You can have it!" She tore at her throat with her fingers. She could feel her nails drawing blood from her throat, but she didn't care. When she finally found the chain, she yanked it it, and it broke. Reene threw it on the ground,

"And you can go and report it to the authorities or whatever else you want, because I don't care anymore!" She gave Celia a piercing look, her chest heaving from her outburst. The necklace lied between them.

She accepted the cloth and pressed it to her throat without another word. With her other hand, Reene bent down and picked up the necklace. She blew on it gently. As she inspected it, she was glad to see that other than the broken chain, it wasn't harmed in anyway. The crystal pendant gleamed as brightly as ever. For that, she was glad.

She carefully put it in the pouch around her waist, thinking,

Funny how I tried so hard to gain Celia's trust, and yet it was stealing and a near-disaster that caused her to trust me.

As she thought this, she had an urge to tell Celia something. Nothing big. Just something...

"I took it. I did. I broke into the castle and took it..." She said softly, fumbling with her pouch, not looking at Celia, "But I did not do anything wrong by doing so... Sometimes... Sometimes... You can't always use the same moral code to measure people." That was all the explanation she was going to give Celia. Whether or not she was satisfied, Reene didn't care.

Then, she raised her head, and saw, in the distance, Calixte and Sara. "There's the two of them ahead. They're probably looking for you."

Reene looked straight at Celia, "This is between you and me. Unless you want for me to leave, in which case, you can do whatever you want, so as long as you uphold your promise not to tell the authorities."

With that, she approached Calixte and Sara.

"Are you guys looking for us?" She said to the two of them, then turned around and nodded at Celia. "Celia's over there too. What have the two of you guys been doing?"

Surprised, Celia didn't know what to do for a second. She wasn't sure why did she act nice and kind to Reene, or why did she tell her that she broke into the castle and took the necklace.

She was interested though, what did Reene mean when she said that she didn't do anything wrong by taking it? She stole in other words, how could it not be wrong?

Celia stood silent, didn't speak or respond. She just waited until Sara or Calixte would respond or say anything.

Calixte saw Reene and Celia approach and she was relieved for it. Looking at Reene however, she noticed a piece of cloth around the upper area of her chest.
"Oh, no. What happened?" She asked not being able to think of any other reason to wear cloth in the manor she did, other than an injury.
"Well, unless wearing pieces of cloth around necks are fashion statements here," She added rather doubtfully. Then she noticed that a large piece of Celia's skirt was missing.
"You got hurt?" Calixte said trying not to make it sound like a very big deal if it wasn't. "How bad is it?" She continued calmly.

She raised an eyebrow at Calixte, "Are you suggesting that I hurt myself purposely?"

"Anyway...Nice to meet you, Shane." She turned to him, smiling, and held up a hand. Shane shook it, "Likewise."

She told the group, "The college here is very renowned. The teachers are well-known. And it's open to anyone. So's long as you have enough money, of course. Most come for teaching in the Magics and the Fighting skills, but of course, there are more basic things too."

She said to Shane, "From the looks of you, you teach combat? Or exercise perhaps?"

aya then smiles as she looked at calixte leaving the room. she then turned back and put the clothes back to the chest and laid in the bed for seconds to think what she can do then she stands up gets the broom near the door and cleaned the room. she then saw a nun passing by and asked some new sheets. the nun gave her some clean white sheets she then changes the sheets of the bed. after cleaning she saw some more sheets left she then said to herself.

Aya: i think this clothes are too um. like too dirty for me.

she then waves her hand and sparks came out and the sheets became clothes.

Aya: now this looks more clean.

she then wears the clothes and leaves the room. while walking down the stairs of the church a nun called her.

Nun: how nice clothes you have child. didn't you like the ones i gave you.
Aya: oh no! it's not that. my friend had some extra clothes with her so i used it.
Nun: oh ok. i would like you to run some errands for me.
Aya: sure what is it?
Nun: here *gives a piece of paper* the things listed there are the things you need to do.
Aya: wow this is really long.
Nun: im sure the lord will bless you for that child. run along supper will be ready at 6:00.
Aya: um ok.

the nun then turned away. aya then scanned the list and she decided to do the marketing first. she then gets the basket near the stairs.

Aya: uh! wheres the market by the way. humm i guess i will see it anyway.

aya then leaves the church.

Shane smiled at the party before him. In the back of his mind, though, he wondered what had happened about reporting to the authorities. But when he looked at Sara, her eyes told him to drop it for now so he did.

"I teach combat classes at the college. My classes and the magic ones are the most expensive since they're highly in demand. There are exercise classes available, which help out with combat since it requires strength and stamina, but another teacher is in charge of them."

"The market?" Reene frowned, "There are traders in the Town Square on festivals, but there's not one now. Closest thing is the store."

Shane looked at Reene curiously. She wasn't new here, that was obvious. Her hair and body was hidden by her cloak and hood, so Shane couldn't be sure, but she resembled someone he knew...

"Do you come from here? From what family?"

"Yeah, I do, but they're all dead. I came from a normal family." She winced a bit inside. Normal? It wasn't even convincing to her ears.

"I see," Shane smiled and ran a hand through his hair casually, but he was flipping through faces in his mind. The resemblance came from someone in the College, he knew that...but...

Ah! He had a good idea to find this out. He flashed a dazzling smile at Sara, who seemed to be the most calm and nonsecretive of them all. He thought they'd argue less with her. And plus...he knew her best, and liked talking to her best.

"So, since you all seem so interested in the College, why not go there? You'll get an exclusive tour from me! Who knows? Some of you might decide to take classes there later."

She then stared fiercely at Aya, challenging her. Reene waited awhile, letting Aya get the message, before her intense gaze cooled, and she looked at Aya detachedly.

"The letter isn't addressed? A letter sent without knowing the name of the recipient is rather strange, don't you think? Who gave it to you?" She asked, an eyebrow raised.

Sara was observing the exchange taking place between Aya and Reene. It looked like the two of them were going to have a conflict or something but she didn't want to get involved in it. She was more concerned with the look on Shane's face.

"Well, if Orchid isn't at the college, I suppose Aya and Celia should go to her house while the rest of us have the tour. What do you think, Shane?"

"Yes, I think that's good. Orchid will probably be at home dabbling in her magic or whatever. Her daughter Rose might be wondering around at the college, though. Some of the other teachers should still be there, though, so if anyone is interested in taking some classes, you all might get a chance to talk to them."

((Aya...no offense....but you should be in character... Technically, your character would know nothing about my necklace... It's sort of jolting to have to rp with someone who knows everything.

Reene stood there and took Aya's comments. Her face was a mask of serenity...But inside, she was boiling. Celia and Sara defended her, and they changed the conversation swiftly. That she was glad to see. It meant they trusted her, despite not knowing her past. However, Aya appeared triumphant, as if she had won so great victory. Reene couldn't stand to look at her.

She had merely asked because none of it made any sense. There was no logic to her story. But, quite frankly, like she said, Reene couldn't really care less about Aya, or her past.

However, Aya's comments... THAT she could not just ignore. Reene was born proud. No one insulted her. No one. And especially not a stranger nobody who had no right to do so.

Reene heard Celia asking if Aya was going to go alone. She spoke up, "I'll go to Orchid's house as well. I have a few questions I want to ask her."

OCC: Ah, thanks. that's fine. And Aya, I sort of agree with lil_sweety, the ability to see into others past etc. seems a little powerful for RPs but don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting that your character can't have it. Also, does anyone think it would be useful to have listed somewhere the abilities of our characters? Because then we have more of an idea of what they can and can't do.


Calixte wondered why all of a sudden Reene wanted to go with Aya but she didn't think much about it. She suspected that there was perhaps something going on between them, and it seemed that the conflict between Reene and Celia had died down. She decided to stay quiet, however, in case commenting aroused problems.

((Hi all. I'll have to leave for work soon so I won't have time to look into this right now. But I think I see the point that lil_sweetty is saying. From what I understand, Aya knows about the necklace but no clue that Reene is the one who has it. As far as the RP is concerned, only Celia, Sara, and Calixte know that Reene has it since they saw her wearing the necklace earlier.

I think someone mentioned about listing abilities in the register your RP character. I think that's fine. I didn't think to do so since I'm not sure if Sara will have any special abilities but if anyone wants to modify their posts to include abilities, that's fine.

And last but not least, welcome, Jinroh. It's great to see another member join the RP.

OOC: sorry if i didn't posted for awhile i was kind of busy. and wow looks like i got many people disagreeing with me, but im ok so time to explain i think. so about the necklace if you have read page 9 of the RP you will know how i knew about the necklace. about my skill to see the past it's not that easy after seeing someones past she loses all her energy and will be dead for 3 days and will rose again. when aya and calixte was in the stables she accidentally touched calixte and used her powers but not fully readed calixte's past but just saw darkness which is why she said "i see darkness in your past" and fainted because it's not the full power of her skill. there so any more explanation needed? and welcome to the RP Luna (Jinroh) and i agree the group is all girls there aint no boys. so how could we fix this. can we like have duo character's and the other character's are guys.?

Sara noticed that Reene had slipped away while they were all getting acquainted with Luna.

She wondered how Shane was taking all of this in but he seemed all right. He looked a bit clueless but was waiting for the signal to go on to the college.

((Doesn't quite explain. On pg 9, it says you read my "aura" and my aura was dark. Nothing about the necklace. Calixte knows I have the necklace, but nothing about the stolen one. She doesn't know the connection between the two. So you couldn't have found out from her. But basically... I just want to know... is the whole necklace thing struck out or do you still know and to what extent? Because then I won't be surprised again by what she knew and I can deal with it, because I had NO idea that Aya knew))

Reene looked back. She scanned the path... and realized Aya hadn't gone with her like she thought. In fact, on the path, she could make out a group going to the college... one who looked a lot like Aya included. Avoiding conflict after screaming at her polite and truly curious questions and tossing her hair in Reene's face? Quite cowardly, really. She leaned on a tree and scoffed. Great, she came here because she needed to talk -confront- Aya. And now she had nowhere to go.

But she didn't want to kick up a fuss anymore. She can't say that she'll just let those insolent remarks grounded on the basis of first impressions pass by, but the rest of the girls had better impressions of her now. She wasn't going to throw that away.

She began to walk slowly to the group. She'll let it pass--for now.

OCC: Well, if you read on page 9 Calixte did see a poster:
She saw a poster about a necklace that as stolen, 'Hmm, that looks like the necklace that Reene was wearing, that's rather suspicious.' If Reene had stolen something however, she thought that it wasn't really her business.
Was what I wrote but I guess this doesn't mean that she knew for sure. Anyway, I shouldn't really get involved in this.

Calixte followed the rest of the girls towards the college silently. Believing that *something* had gone on between the group back then and she didn't think that it would be good to say anything. However, she didn't feel like touring the college now, she wanted instead to just be alone somewhere and reflect on her life.

She did wonder why Aya suddenly decided not to go to Orchid's house and looking towards the dwelling, she saw a band of people who looked like guard in that direction. 'If there was trouble, no wonder Aya didn't want to be involved,' she thought.

Sara saw that Aya had grabbed Shane's head and raised an eyebrow. Not that she was jealous or anything like that but Sara thought that Aya was being a little forward. However, she decided not to say anything about it.

"Ok then. Let's go. Shane, please lead the way."

"All right. Everyone, follow me." Shane led the group towards the direction of the college for the tour.

Sara then noticed that Reene was walking back to the group and seeing as how Shane was being preoccupied by Aya, she decided to walk a little slower so that she could catch up to Reene.

Whispering so that the others wouldn't be able to hear, she said,

"Hi, Reene. I thought you were going to Orchid's house?"

"Another person interested in my business?" Reene said coldly, raising an eyebrow. Though she said she'd let it go, she was still rather angry at Aya.

However, looking at Sara, who obviously had kind intentions, she cooled. "It's alright. I'm fine," She shrugged. She didn't look at Sara, and instead kept her eyes trained on the backs of the people ahead as she spoke. "You're not stupid, Sara. You should know why I really wanted to go. You should know by now too that my pride and temper are easily touched. But as Aya didn't go for whatever reason... I don't even want to know why she didn't go, or to even confront her about all her questions and comments. I'll put it pass. Maybe it's better this way."

She sighed, "Funny how some careless comments by some stranger you only met can be so infuriating. When I wanted to go to Orchid's house, I had every intention of fighting. I was probably going to do something that would not have been best for me in the long run. I should keep the pride that makes me want to act like that in line, but I can't. So it was better for her not to have come."

Reene paused, holding her tongue back. She had said all that really, because she wanted to lament with someone... But that being said, it was probably for another reason as well, and in that case, she might as well let that reason known... But the loner in her wouldn't die...

Quietly, looking down at the ground, she murmured, "By the way... Thank you, Sara. For taking my side. You didn't press for my story, and instead changed conversations. It might be nothing to you, but to me, it meant you didn't really need to know to keep me as a companion. So...thank you." She hoped Sara got it.

Then, abruptly, Reene raised her head and spun around to look at Sara, "So, what is it with that up there?" She motioned her head at the sight of Shane and Aya walking together, hand in hand. The scene was quite funny in a way really, especially after all that dramatic anger.

And I wouldn't worry too much about her. From what I can tell, she doesn't really think before she speaks. Not saying that I've never done that but I know that different people come from different situations, circumstances in life and I'm not one to judge."

A strong gust of wind rose up on the outskirts of the town as a red dragon no larger than a horse slowly descended to the ground. A moment later, the master of this beast, a tall man dressed in dark colours, came into view and as he dismounted, the dragon faded into think air from a subtle wave of his hand. He staggered for a moment, scowling in annoyance at how much his skills had rusted, and how weary that summon spell had made him after such a short time. He noted to himself that if ever he spotted monsters, he desperately needed to train. 'That foolish woman, I don't understand how fighting could seem wrong to her.' he thought to himself.

Adjusting the angle of his top hat which had fallen a little out of place during his ride and also so it would provide better shade for his face, he examined the town. First impressions showed that it was somewhat quiet and almost seemed isolated from the rest of the world, there were few buildings that he could see, however, there seemed to be a castle in the distance. In the middle of the town there was a building, larger than the rest but couldn't make out exactly what it was without his vampire abilities, he also spied what seemed like a village square and was sure that a building on the other side of town was a church. This town contained nothing much of interest and it appeared pretty generic, probably a few residential zones, an inn for travellers, and a general store.

There seemed to be some people headed toward the large building, maybe there was something happening but what ever it was Thanos wasn't interested, he was just here to regain some energy and maybe stock up on some 'supplies'. With a silent turn he slipped out of sight into the shadows.

OOC: Yay, now there is a boy/man (apart from Shane) in the RP. ^.^

OOC: Thank you everyone for welcoming me, I was afraid I was going to be shunned.

Thanos moved quick and effortlessly, protected by the shadows from the buildings, there didn't seem to him like there were a lot of people around, except for a group of youth headed toward what he now realised was a college. Five of them seemed like vulnerable females, unless they were magic wielders. Within the group, there seemed to be two men as well, one of which seemed to be communicating with the girls, the other seemed muscular and experienced in physical combat. Thanos couldn't clearly make out what gender the figure in the dark cloak was, but judging from height, they were probably a girl too, but no matter, they were most likely insignificant villagers.

After arriving at what seemed to be the inn, he decided he would look for victims later, first he would make a stop at the library to study the history of the town to be better prepared for what he would encounter. Upon arriving in the library he was greeted by a frail looking, green haired librarian, Thanos made no effort to converse when his gazed passed a poster. A stolen necklace?
"Interesting... but I shouldn't bother with the affairs belonging to people of no relation to me." He thought aloud.

After spending a while at the library, he decided it was no use, the people here were probably no match for him, but this mysterious woman who had slain a dragon and became queen almost sparked some interest. Leaving the building hastily, he took from inside his coat, a shiny glass bottle with a cork, containing a red liquid that had almost been drained. Thanos looked annoyed again but only for and instant. Once again vanishing into the shadows, however this time was different, he had no intention of going anywhere, he began to observe the behaviour of the girls he spied earlier. Surely they were healthy and unsuspecting.

Secretly, Calixte disliked the way these people were treating each other and wished that she could just disappear for a while.
"I think I'll just leave you to it..." Calixte said quietly eying Reene, Sara Luna and Shane of her departure.

Looking at the sky, she could see evening would probably come on at any moment and the events of today had made her slightly bewildered, for what ever reason. She was eager to leave Nico, who scared her a little. "Uhh, I'm going back to the church because I'm staying the night there..." she said in a plain tone that, she hoped, wouldn't catch much attention.

Slowly, she started to leave the college. Not really wanting to leave the group and seem hasty, but a good enough speed that would put some distance between them if they decided to come with her.

Thanos approached further, noting all events that occurred between what seemed like a social group. Some how one of the girls had left, and another had strayed. This girl seemed almost upset about something that happened between her and a young man. The man was now off with another girl, perhaps the black haired girl with the purple-pink eyes was showing a little jealousy? What ever had happened, he thought that she was the one he would target, in her emotional state, she should be easy to prey on. Slowly adjusting his top hat so more of his face was exposed, he stepped into the light, silently and elegantly moving towards this female.

OOC: If it does seem like I'm going to hurt Aya, I'm not really going to (especially without permission). =)

Perhaps the young woman noticed? Thanos thought but continued toward her gaining speed. He did not want to frighten her so he tried to make his steps more audible, yet regular so it would still seem normal. After a while, he decided to speak,
"Excuse me fair maiden, but I'm not of this land and seem to have lost my way," he said with all sincerity and in a genuine manner. "You look like you're familiar with this place, mind showing me the way to the inn?" Thanos thought that this wouldn't get him any where but perhaps could gain her trust a little. "Also, if you don't mind me asking, what is a maiden such as yourself wandering the streets alone?"

Thanos almost smiled, he was startled my the fact that this girl didn't scream or run away, most of the female victims of the past had, but they had been during the night and therefore no match for him. He had to be careful this time, it was not past sundown and he knew that without his vampire abilities, he was physically weak and also not very fast. If this girl had decided to run it was not certain he could catch her, luckily she didn't.
"Oh? I'm sorry, I thought it looked like you knew where you were going. It certainly isn't safe for a girl of your age to be wandering without a companion, no?" He said, once again with sincerity but this time, coldness and harshness almost starting to show in his voice.

Thanos was even more startled from her reaction, his suspicions starting to rise about how 'normal' this girl was, perhaps she knew his intentions, but he needed to stall time, at least until the sun dipped below the horizon.
"Oh? What do you mean by that? I was merely suggesting to help find your friends, however you agree it's dangerous correct? Tell me this, why do you not fear me?" Thanos was getting annoyed at this woman, it took a lot of self control to prevent him from striking but he could only do so when the time was right.

Thanos pulled back in shock, but immediately gathered himself, once again putting some distance between them.
"Not really, but your tone sounded like you were suggesting I was dangerous." At this rate he would have to find another victim, one that would react normally in contrast to the calmness of this lady. He paused for a moment, planning what he would do, his supply of blood was definitely running low and he wouldn't have enough to last till the next day. His own body was cold like ice, cooling the air around him. He couldn't afford to loose more of her trust, if she felt this for sure it would blow his cover.

Thanos was almost disappointed that he had missed his chance, his basic instincts had overwhelmed him, blinded by his will to survive. He watched her walk into the distance suddenly changing his impression of her, such a hopeful youth, it would've been a waste to have killed her. He would starve for one day but that wouldn't matter, his life was meaningless and she was free to do what she liked unlike himself.
"Argh!" He scowled again at the thought of him growing so soft, "foolish woman, I should have never bothered in the first place and let that arrogant prince have his glory." He said sighing, no matter what she had influenced him, and he couldn't neglect his honest worry for the girl he had just met.

Sara looked a bit uncomfortable at Reene's slight teasing. Oops, guess I got her opinion wrong. However, Sara did look happy as she ran to chat with Shane. But it was their relationship...

They kept on walking to the college, and Shane asked about what they wanted to see first. As Reene glanced quickly around, though, she realized almost no one was listening. Celia and an aristocratic young man had pulled away and was talking by themselves, Calixte had disappeared, and Aya had also left with a new man in tow before returning again and talking to Celia and the aristocrat. Something was happening with their supposedly simple trip to the college, that was obvious.

She walked near Sara and Shane and smiled, saying, "It looks like none of them are interested in the tour any longer."

She looked at him again, wondering how the child of such a powerful woman could be so flirtatious. There was nothing especially significant about him that she could see. To Reene, he merely looked like a spoiled, rich playboy who searched for danger and excitement. She was curious as to what he'd be.

"If he wants to go, let him, though whether or not our tour ever occurs is questionable right now," she told Celia, "Try to keep Aya and Prince Nico with us, won't you? I think I heard Calixte saying something about going to the church. I'll see if she still wants to go, and I'll meet you guys back here. But if the rest of you guys want to start the tour beforehand, go ahead."

Saying that, she started to walk briskly in the direction of the Church, passing a tall man dressed in formals. She looked at him briefly, and saw he was staring intently at their group, perhaps Aya in particular. His eyes reflected a mix of different emotions. Though his clothes were nothing extraordinary, he, unlike Prince Nico, truly looked aristocratic, with his calm manner, and the erect way he held himself. The air about him, however, did not exhibit any warmth or friendliness. It felt cold. She felt herself, almost against her will, looking back and peering at him over her shoulders.

*Luna walked a bit uneasily as a new comer had joined their group. He was a well dressed gentleman and very handsome. Someone of the upper class. Something about him made her uneasy, but she tried to remain an upbeat exterior.*

"A prince? It is strange that a prince would be out here alone without an escort."

*She noticed Renee leaving and heading towards the Church after mentioning Calixte wanting to stop by there. She thought this would be the perfect opportunity to get away from the extravegant prince that gave her an uncomfortable feeling.*

"Please excuse me everyone, I think Renee may need some assistance finding your friend."

*She quickly started after Renee, but she was a few steps ahead. While she was hurrying she spotted another well dressed gentleman this one as she approached caused a shiver to go down her spine. His eyes were what she noticed they looked empty devoid of the sparkle that normal eyes held. None-the-less she remembered her manners and curtsied at the upper class gentleman as she passed.*

Reene felt her senses prickling as she walked, the result of many years spent thieving. Someone seemed to be following her. That gentleman perhaps? A sense of apprehension filled her. His demeanor both drew her and repulsed her. She kept walking at the same pace, but lessened the noise she was making as she walked. There it was... Shuffling footsteps and a slight noise of cloth rubbing against each other as the person in them moved. The sound the cloth made showed it wasn't Celia's, Aya's, Sara's, Shane's, or even that Prince Nico... The person was following her, she was sure of it.

Abruptly, she turned around and lunged at this person, her hand instinctively drawing her sword from her waist and holding it sideways, close to the woman, its blade glinting dangerous, her eyes filled with murderous intent...

Only to see a startled female.

Reene stood wordlessly for a few seconds, frozen in motion. She quickly recollected herself however. She promptly stepped away from the woman and stowed away her dagger. The years spent skulking at night and protecting herself from all that lurked in that darkness, as well as the consequences of her profession, had heightened her senses, but also made her slightly paranoid. Now that Reene thought about it, she felt slightly stupid. Why would anyone attack her in the middle of the day?

She surveyed this woman. The woman wore dainty clothes and looked a few years older than Reene. She looked familiar...

For a few moments, Reene was horror-strucken that she had perhaps known this woman when she was still a child, and she instinctively raised her hand to check to see if her hood was still securely on. In that moment, however, she abruptly remembered who this woman was, and she lowered her hand quickly, hoping the woman wouldn't notice the awkward movement. To distract her, she spoke up:

"You are the woman that I saw with my group when I was walking to Orchid's house, are you not? Why are you following me?" Her words sounded harsher than she had meant them to be as they left her mouth, for she was still slightly perturbed.

*The young woman in front of Luna looks stunned for a moment as she quickly refrained from killing her.*

"I'm so sorry I shouldn't have been following you without asking if I could come with you. I just thought you may need some help finding your friend and I didn't really like the way the prince was giving me a really uncomfortable feeling..."

*She trailed off for a moment and draw a deep breath to try and center herself again.*

*She didn't want to tell the young woman Renee about how she was intrigued by her. So she just looked down at the ground in silence.*

*After the gruff tone in Renee's voice Luna was compelled to say what she felt*
"Yes. I...I'm Luna. I just felt that I should follow you. There is something about you that is familiar. Forgive me for my rudeness."

Reene felt slightly ashamed as Luna apologized, clearly frazzled by her attack, and so she said, "It's okay. I overreacted. I'm sorry. I tend to be overly cautious. Furthermore, I thought you were that man before."

She paused, remembering that strangely intriguing man... She then spoke up again,

"Luna? As in the moon, right?" She eyed Luna's clothes and hairstyle. She was sure she had never seen her before, other than with the group. Her eyes then traveled to the book she was holding. It was a magical book.

"Have you met me before? Or are you merely curious about me?" She knew she was conspicuous, not just in the way she looked, but in the way she acted, like Luna had just found out. She could accept that explanation. She could also accept the explanation that Luna had met her before, though she could not recall it. However, as she said this, her eyes traveled to the book Luna had in her hands.

She raised an eyebrow, "Or perhaps you 'sense' something? Are you a magic user?" This came out slightly cold, as magic users usually caused problems for her, and were hard for her to win against if they were ever in a fight. And yet she had never seen a magic user that was as friendly to her as Luna...

((O_O Too many posts to read. Umm, I was wondering. Not to sound like a pill or anything but could we limit how many posts a person can make after someone else has posted? I had to read like 3 or 4 pages of posts before I could catch up and there were times that Sara could have done something. I check up this thread everyday but it's usually only once a day.))

Sara was quite confused at what had happened and that everyone seemed to be splitting up. Furthermore, she noticed a new guy coming in to join their party but she got an uncomfortable feeling around him, seeing as how he was flirting with Celia earlier.

Whispering to Shane so that the others couldn't hear them, Sara asked,

"Do you know that guy?"

Shane nodded. "Yup. He's Prince Nico."

"What do you think about him?"

Shane shrugged. "He's all right, I guess. Somewhat like his father."

Sara nodded. She really didn't want new people coming in and intruding on their party since Prince Nico hadn't even bothered to introduce himself properly to her. It kind of made her feel like an outsider and she didn't like that.

Thinking, she said,

"Umm, well, if the rest of you want to do other things, Shane and I can go on ahead and tour the college. I'm interested in seeing it."

She'd hoped that the others would take the hint either way.

Calixte slowed as she realized that no one had come with her. Looking around, it was already quite late and she was actually relatively lost. It wasn't exactly cold, but despite that, she felt chills down her spine. Something about the atmosphere didn't feel right. She considered looking for the others, but worried that she would cause herself to become even more hopelessly lost.

After walking in the area for a short while, she decided just to wait for a bit, convincing herself that there was nothing that could really be dangerous to her life. Even if she was mugged or the like, it wouldn't really endanger her.

It did appear as if it would be a clear night, however she didn't really want to be alone at this particular time. 'It would seem weird' she thought to herself, 'to anyone that saw me, why a girl of my likes would be wondering the streets alone at this time.' So she looked around for buildings in which she could enter. The college was in the near distance, but she didn't really want to go back after what had happened.

OOC: I'm so extremely sorry about my number of posts yesterday, however, I really wanted to finish the sequence before I went to bed, since I have school I though it would be strange if there was like a gap of around 15 hours before I continued. I agree with PhoenixGirl that we should have a limitation (though I realise was part of the problem, for that I shall apologise again) because I have been following this RP since it began and at time accidentally skipped posts because I didn't know where I was up to.

Darkness started to fall as Thanos felt his body grow stronger, his vision grow clearer and and his vampire abilities start to kick in. He started to feel safer as the group of humans he had been watching earlier passed by. The one in the cloak seemed rather cautious, he noted to himself that this was a smart one, a while later another girl came past, this one was blonde and looked a little older, she seemed a little hesitant or shy but she curtsied to him while passing. He watched for a while but decided to ignore her also, he looked around and his eyes caught at the scene of the two females one seemed to have attacked the other but couldn't really tell, Thanos almost smirked at this.
"The intent to kill, what a beautiful sight," he thought. Perhaps he would follow, them to after all, they seemed a little more acquainted then himself, it wouldn't really hurt since he would be forced to stay another night anyway, and the events that are occurring might be worth while witnessing. This time he needed to be more careful, a foot out of place and he would be discovered. Although his speed was increased during the night, he could only attack at short range unlike during the day. He would stalk form afar, that would decrease the likeliness of being discovered, he may discover their purpose for travelling, since on closer inspection, the no longer looked to him like villagers. He still needed somewhere to lighten his load, he had brought too much money instead of the blood which he really needed.

Luna noticed that the young girl felt somewhat off for having attacked her. She apologized for reacting as she did, but Luna felt that she was a good person. So she flashed a peace sign and said,

"No no, I was silly to have run after you without at least calling out to you. It was rude of my to sneak up. However, I do understand that man, was quite strange well dressed and well mannered, but there was something almost forboding about his aura."

The girl then noted her name.

"Yes, my name is Luna, like the moon. My family for generations has held the moon in high regard. I was never told why, but my family always had celebrations for the moon. It was always fun though, like a festival."

She smiles.

"However I have not properly introduced mysefl, how rude of me. "

She curtsied and said.

"My name Luna Windice, it is a pleasure to meet you."

The girl in front of her looks intrigued and asks if she knows her and inquisitively if she is a magick user.

"Umm...I can't put my finger on it, but I feel that I know you from somewhere. Perhaps a past life, but right now the fortunes of you and I are cloudy at best. So I cannot be certain. As for magick, I am a novice at best. Fortune telling and other psychic based skills are my forte, but I have learned a bit of white magick in my travels. So many people come to me and ask the fate of their loved ones who are ill. This disturbs me quite greatly as I know what will happen to them, but I do not have the means to help them."

The Sun Seemed to be Settling low in the sky and it had begun to become darker and darker.

"Hmm...perhaps we should find your friend before it gets too dark. I have a bad feeling that something ominous may be nearby."

Reene realized as Luna spoke that she was a fortune teller or the like. She did not put too much faith into such tales, but it seemed Luna was very serious... Perhaps it was true after all?

Luna mentioned about it become darker, just as Reene was realizing it herself. She nodded, "I can always use another person to back me up, I suppose. Come on, we have to catch up with Calixte before it gets any darker," She frowned and started to walk briskly as she thought about Calixte. "She strikes me as being too timid to be by herself at dusk. And we have to get back to the College as well, or we might lose the group all together..."

The more she thought about it, the more worried she got. There was a very ominous feeling that had come with the change to night... To get her mind cleared, she asked as she walked to the church about what had bothered her before,

"You are a fortune teller? A true one? Is it a gift, or a skill? How much do you see about me, about you, about anyone? And...is it all predetermined, or do we have some saying in our path?" The last question was the one that she was most concerned with.

Luna grew more uncomfortable as it grew darker.

Renee spoke to Luna and saying that she would like someone to back her up.

"Thank you, I am grateful to join your company, especially since it is getting dark." She smiled. "Yes, hopefully she is still in the immediate area and we can find her rather quickly."

She noticed that Renee seemed a bit on edge as they walked and it grew darker.

Renee suddenly raised some questions about Luna's Fortune Telling background.

Luna furrowed her brow as to think of how to explain it all. She could tell that Renee was uncertain about something in her future so she tried to form her answer around that so as to hopefully offer some comfort.

"The future is complicated to say the least. Normal simple people are the easiest to read. They may have some things here and there, but their futures aren't overly exciting. However, there are every now and again very special people who are exceptional in some way. These people are the hardest to read. Paths stretch out far in front of them branching many times. Some of these paths are dark and some of these paths are brilliant in the lighting sense. Which is to say some I can distinguish and some I cannot."

She smiled warmly at Renee.

"I am still young so my experience with the future is limited. When I was younger, I was told I would be a great spiritualist by a woman who was traveling and healing the sick. I had great admiration for her, and she told me I would someday become a great spiritualist. I did not believe her, but today when I think about it, I am walking down that path. Call it self-fulfilling prophecy, but when I divine the future I can see things that most people do not. I have read people multiple times over the years and paths have changed, the future has changed for them. So if I was to give my opinion about the future I would say some things are set in stone and others are freely changable, and other still are unknown."

She smiled again and winked.

"Keep in mind I'm still a novice, but I do know one thing."

She winked again and gave Renee a large smile.

"The only certain way to find out the future is to keep walking foreward. As for your future, I never read anyone without permission, so I've been respecting your privacy. You're aura is occluded and dark, but I can see that you may have conflict in the imminent future."

Reene stayed silent as Luna spoke these words, absorbing them. She wondered vaguely what path she was on... The dark one perhaps? But whatever path it was, it had already been chosen long ago. And Luna was right... She would walk on it as best as she could, no matter what. She would walk too, through all the danger and darkness ahead of her, even if she had chosen wrongly... because she was too proud and too stubborn to regret or to succumb to fate. If she had to... She would beat fate.

As this resolution began to form in her mind, she felt a great weight lifted off her shoulder. Subconsciously, it seemed, she had always wondered what would've happened had she stayed in that glorified jail. Now... it didn't matter.

"How ironic it is though," she remarked softly to Luna, who had steadily risen in her estimation during their meeting, "that the woman's prophecy came through because you made it so. Or perhaps it was the other way around? That she predicted so because she knew you would?" She laughed, "But it worked out either way for you, didn't it? Maybe it's easier to just live?"

With that, they came to the church. Reene did not go in, but merely looked in, for she didn't want her the nun to approach her again. One look, however told her Calixte wasn't there. Reene quickly turned again to Luna, her eyes alarmed and alert. "Now what?"

As the group was deciding on what to do regarding the college tour, Sara noticed that some of their party was missing.

"Hey, Calixte, Reene, and Luna are missing. Has anyone seen them? We should all get together before it gets too dark."

Shane nodded in agreement. "It isn't a good idea to be out this late at night. There are thieves and other such creatures out in the night. Sometimes I'm out at night but that's because I actually want to fight these beings but it's not safe for the general public."

After she spoke, Renee seemed to think for a moment and contemplate something. She was very slender and graceful despite her decieving clothing, Luna noted as she observed her companion. Softly then, Renee voiced an interesting point about her fate.

Luna thought for a moment, and then wore a pleasant smile, then stuck out her tongue in a silly face.

"I've never thought of it that way, but thinking about it makes my head hurt."

She put the back of her hand near her mouth and laughed a bit.

"Hmmm...however it started I'm not sure. I just like to think of it this way. Sure we can divine the future to some extent, but if we focus on analyzing things too much we'll miss the fun we have on the way down the path."

She smiled and then winked.

"I think you're path has some nice little surprises in store for you."

They arrived at the Church and Renee peered inside and then asked what to do next. She seemed less relaxed than she was a few moments ago. For good reason Luna thought as she could feel an ominous presence drawing ever closer.

"I am not sure, however, my intuition tells me two things right now. We should not stick around too long here, though you seem to have the same intutitive feeling. The other is that Calixte may have gone somewhere a bit more populated for the moment. Though that is just common sense." She bonked herself on the head and giggled. "Perhaps if we can find an Inn or a Tavern someone may have seen her."

"But Calixte is new here, and there are the others at the College..." Reene muttered back at Luna. The ominous feeling was stronger than ever.

She had specifically told Celia that they would go to the College afterwards, so there was a good chance one or two of them would still be waiting there at night, while the rest went to the inn. Or even worse, they would decide something happened as there was no sign of anyone, and split up to search. Calixte was potentially lost, and this night was not a pleasant one. She was timid, and new to the town. Luna, too, was intelligent and older than her, but she was a fortune teller, not as accustomed with dealing with those that lurked in the night, not like Reene, who made her living in the dark. She knew little about most in the group, but she did not want any in danger.

With all that in mind, she made a decision. She spoke decisively and quickly, as every second counted "Luna, can you go quickly to the College and tell them Calixte is lost and I'm searching for her? And if you see Calixte, bring her with you, but don't make any detours. Get yourself as quickly to the College as possible. And tell them not to worry about me. I can't find her in an hour, I'll go back to the inn. Don't send anyone after me, unless it's someone who knows the town, like Shane. As the slums are gone, the creatures must lurk at night instead, and if not, there is still criminals and the darkness. I don't want anyone else lost at night."

With that, she started to run, and was soon lost in the darkness, searching for Calixte.

OCC: Umm, lil_sweety, how did Reene find out that Calixte was a magic user? I mean, she never mentioned it to anyone and never displayed any signs of being able to perform magic except when she was going to church, which (correct me if I'm wrong), Reene didn't see.


Calixte stared into the darkness, clueless and almost entranced by it. 'Should I be afraid?' She asked herself. She also wondered if they were, perhaps, looking for her. Not having a watch, she couldn't tell the time but she was becoming slightly concerned, maybe they had forgot her or didn't care? She had been rather rude in the way she acted.

Feeling strangely tired, she sat herself down on the cold, cobblestone street and was peaceful for a moment but then realised the strangeness of her action. 'This is madness! Am I going insane?' She thought as she willed herself to rise from her position.

After a few moment of careful stalking, Thanos abruptly paused, the two females had arrived in front of the church, the church... If they decided to enter, he would have no way of following them, especially after all the people he had killed. Why a couple of girls interested him so much bothered him, he should probably be looking for victims since he still had time, but knew he would not be able to after the events of today.

He turned his attention back to the church, luckily they had not entered; they seemed to be talking again but they seemed almost worried or apprehensive about something. He, through the use of his enhanced hearing, had discovered the blond female's name,
"Luna..." He thought aloud as he looked to the night sky, sadness had almost crept onto his face but immediately shook it off, scowling again. By the time he had regained focus, the two had separated, Luna's companion had began to run somewhere as if she were determined to find something but he could not be sure.

Thanos didn't really know why but before he had realised it, he was already following her, moving swiftly yet silently through the night. Feeling like his skills as a fighter had really dropped, he did nothing to stop himself.

"Hello?" Calixte softly spoke into the darkness as if greeting an invisible friend. However, she worried what would happen as helplessness began to consume her. It really was quite dark now and she found it hard to keep calm. Staring into the stars, she felt her earlier drowsiness slowly returning.
'How beautiful the stars,' She thought to herself.

Slowly lifting up her right hand, she compared the diamond on her ring with the twinkling lights in the sky. Then a thought occurred to her, had Aya seen it when she was feeding the horse? The other girls had not asked about it yesterday but that doesn't prove that they didn't know of it. The thought left her almost as soon as it appeared, though, and she vaguely wondered how she would get out of her situation.

Opening her backpack, she began once again to look through the items. The light was not enough to read by so she couldn't do this to past the time, she couldn't understand how to use her headpieces and she couldn't do her hair without a mirror at least. She felt like sitting down again but forced herself to remain upright and standing, so she could be more on guard. Concerned also for her state of mind, she tried to focus on the fact that the streets at night were potentially dangerous.

Renee began to grow apprehensive and very serious. She then instructed Luna, to go back to the college and inform them that Calixte was lost.

"Agreed. I will do my best Renee, but be careful. I have a bad feeling that something out of the ordinary lurks in the darkness."

Then Renee ran off into the darkness.

Luna then began to quickly run off towards the college, the ominous aura still hanging in the air.

As Reene began to run, she looked frantically for Calixte, the night pressing ever closer around her. She did not dare call out, for fear of attracting unwanted attention, but her eyes were failing her in the darkness.

I should've just gone with Luna. She thought, regretting her quick decision. But the decision had already been made. She kept on going.

The streets looked very deserted, and yet...she did not feel as if she was alone. The intuition she had picked it from the many years stealing was tingling with apprehension. She could defend herself, she was sure of it... but she could not defend herself against something she could not see or hear. Was she paranoid...?

Abruptly, Reene stopped. Her eyes flashed with anger. "Who's there? Show yourself!" Reene yelled. She waited for any response.

Aya: uh! excuse me. do you have some of this good's?

aya asked the lady in the counter.

Lady: oh! yes we have it packed right here.
Aya: wow! fast service.
Lady: well. the nun's always order the same good's so i pack it every day, so it would be ready when someone get's it.
Aya: oh! ok! thank you!

aya said as she leaved the shop. aya put the good's in the basket she was holding. she looked at the sky and counted a little of the stars and started walking to the inn. aya reached the inn door and headed to the man in the counter.

Aya: uh! hello. i was asigned to get a package for the nun's at the church.
Inn keeper: oh! you must be the new girl sister margaret was talking about.
Aya: uh! margaret? uh! yes im the new girl.
Inn keepr: ok then. her are the wine.
Aya: WINE!
Inn keeper: yes wine, for the church to offer.
Aya: ah! oh! ok.

aya get's the wine and put's it in the basket.

Aya: *sighs* ok only one left. deliver the letter to Orchid.

aya then walked toward's the of Orchid's house.

Luna ran quickly down the streets. She ran and ran weaving through alley ways and taking herself as fast as she could in her dress and boots. She ran down one merchant street and noticed a girl walking, she looked familiar and may have been one of the girls from the group.

Sara thought over what Celia had said. "Hmm, well, if Reene said that she was going to look for Calixte and Luna went with her, perhaps we should stay here and wait for them. But I am worried about them and I don't like being in the dark like this."

Shane noticed the worried expression on Sara's face and did his best to cheer her up.

"Don't worry, Sara. You have me, one of the strongest fighters in this town to protect all of you ladies."

Sara smiled as Shane showed off his bravery.

"Ok. Let's do this then. We'll wait a half an hour to see if anyone returns and then if that's not the case, then we come up with Plan B."

Luna heard that the voice was Aya's and her heart leapt with joy, she was right it was a member from the earlier group. Luna's stride lessened as she arrived at Aya. She caught her breath before she spoke.

"Aya! I'm so glad to see you." She threw her arms around Aya for a moment and then let go.

"Calixte is still missing and Renee had me go back and alert the group so we could all keep our eyes out. You are the first person I found as I was heading back to the College to find everyone. Renee at this moment is out alone looking for her, and I have a bad feeling that something besides our little group is roaming about in the darkness."

Luna sighed from all the excitement,
'I need a bath. However all the excitement is enthralling.' she thought.

It definitely seemed like this young woman was looking for something... or perhaps someone? Thanos didn't know why he had followed her this far, she certainly was brave and obviously knew how to fight or would not walk the streets alone at night. He wondered how well she could navigate at night, it had been a long time since he himself was a human therefore, couldn't quite remember what affects sundown had on their vision. He could see better in the night time than day, but he knew this was not the case for humans, really it was quite the opposite. He also wondered why this girl was so motivated, what exactly was her purpose? Surely there could not be a treasure valuable enough, or a friend dear enough that would make one sacrifice themselves...

Starting to trail behind, he thought that he would give up soon, this female was nothing really interesting or special. Slowing even further he braced himself to stop when suddenly the girl turned around and shouted, her eyes showed anger but it seemed like she was worried, or his ability to read people had deteriorated over the years.

This time, he did not mean harm, pondering for a moment whether he should just turn back now, or confront the courageous woman, which indeed, was a clever one. Deciding that he was at a advantage if she decided to attack, he stepped out to about three metres in front of her. Baring his fangs and his with his right hand at the ready, he would turn it into a claw if she didn't want to play nice.

Minutes came and pasted as Calixte began to give up on trying to do anything, also no longer able to fight her mindlessness or contemplate was happening to her. She became oblivious to everything around, and felt any feeling drift away. Absentmindedly, she dropped to her knees as darkness embraced her and enveloped her frail body inside its icy eternity. Perhaps she was asleep or had fallen unconscious?

In the distance the faint murmur of a sound was barely audible. A voice, perhaps? It sounded female and if only she could concentrate on the noise, maybe she would be able to recognize it? A blur of images started to form inside her mind; memories. A clear lake, a shining, full moon almost as bright as the sun had all materialized. Then there was a pain from deep inside her soul, one that ached more than any she had ever felt. She might have even have wept of it, if she had not lost control over herself. Calixte has unable to focus on the cause of her deep pain, was it even really real?

Unaware that the others were searching for her, Calixte made no attempt to stop her hallucinations. She was surrounded by ghosts which she was quite happily fighting off, then one had caught her unaware and suddenly, everything had vanished. Waking up she found herself on a bed and a tall figure standing in the corner, most probably watching her. As he approached everything disappeared once again.

The street was quiet and although she was once again somewhat conscious, she still felt rather lethargic and irresponsive to her surrounding.

Luna took a deep breath so that she could calm down and speak more clearly.

"I was with Renee, she and I were searching for Calixte, we knew she was going to the church, but we could not find her there."

She took another breath.

"Then we noticed the sun going down and a dangerous feeling hanging in the air. Renee suddenly got very apprehensive and worried and sent me out to find the rest of the group and let them know that Calixte is out alone and that Renee is still looking for her."

She took another deep breath.

She held in a gasp as a figure stepped out of the shadows, but relief overwhelmed her at the same time. She was glad to see that she wasn't paranoid, and that it was merely a human.

But that relief washed quickly away as her weakened eyes began to make out the man. She inconspicuously drew her dagger beneath her cloak. She knew him... That disturbing man back when she was still with Luna. In the night, he looked even less human than before.

With none of the anxiety she felt inside showing in her face, Reene said calmly, "I have seen you before, have I not? What are you doing out here at this dangerous time? Should you not be at an inn?"

Aya must have noticed that Luna was a bit flustered because she her a bottle of water. Luna graciously accepted it and took a few sips.

"Thank you very much." She smiled returning the water bottle to Aya.

Aya then mentioned she had a letter to deliver, but she would help Luna find the others and alert them.

"I'm so sorry that you have to not deliver your letter and help me instead." Luna looked down feeling bad for keeping Aya from her errand.

As they walked on in the direction Aya indicated they head a mixture of male and female voices from the darkness.

"I sure do hope that we see some others soon."

Out of instinct, Sara held on to Shane's arm a little more tightly. There was something about being in the dark that she didn't like even if she were with people. Shane noticed Sara holding on to him and gave her arm a small squeeze in return as well as a small smile to comfort her.

Although it was getting difficult to see, Sara noticed in the distance two figures. "What's that?" Sara pointed towards the figures.

The strange woman had not attacked like he had expected, but she began asking him questions.
"Yes you have seen me before... this town isn't very large population wise... and as for what I am doing here, couldn't I ask you the same? Especially a fair maiden such as yourself, would you not be more vulnerable that me?" He replied, pondering the strangeness of her questions without letting his guard drop. He though for a moment then continued,
"You ask why I am not at an inn? When had you become interested in my personal life?" Thanos was shocked at what he just said, not only was it extremely rude, but it was not the type of language he would normally use.

Deciding that a more friendly approach would be better suited, he stepped a little closer."Excuse me... I was being was rude, but before I answer your questions, you mention that it was dangerous? What could possibly be dangerous in this little town." Assuming that she knew the town better than he did, he needed to find out whether there was anything special here, or whether it was worth staying longer than he had first intended. He noted this girl was completely calm on the outside, but could he could sense that she felt at least a bit of apprehension, unlike humans, he could hear this woman's heart beating faster than when she had passed him the first time, and being starved for blood had further increased his sensitivity.

Thanos was having difficultly trying to predict her next actions, she had to be a skilled assassin, or something along those lines specialising in stealth. She would most likely be armed, but was not sure of what types of weapons she could successfully hide under her cloak.

Luna and Aya drew nearer to their friends, close enough that they could see them through the darkness.

When they approached, Luna said to the group.
"Hi everyone!" She smiled, but it quickly faded.

"Ummm....I don't know how to tell you this, but it looks like Calixte is lost and Renee went out looking and had me alert you all that to keep your eyes peeled for Calixte. However, I feel something may have happened to Renee."

She frowned, and felt like it was her fault that Renee might be introuble for leaving her side.

The man -whatever he was- answered harshly at first, and then became courteous, perhaps deciding it would be a better approach. He stepped closer to her, and she instantly backed away.

She raised an eyebrow at his question of whether this town was dangerous or not. From what she has seen in her childhood and now, yes. And so she answered him, "There are plenty things that only come out at night, and plenty hidden at day... And I assure you, I am quite capable of taking care of myself if I meet such things. I am not, fortunately, 'a fair maiden'. So, you must understand, I was taken back when you came out of the shadows. One, especially an intelligent and independent one, must always be cautious of others, especially this late." She smiled calmly, but her hand gripped her dagger harder, taking her own advice.

"As for asking you about yourself, I apologize. That was rude of me, when I do not even know your name. I was merely trying to be courteous, while satisfying my own curiosity. As you can see," she waved her free hand vacantly at the streets, "the streets are deserted. And you, whom I presume is a traveler and do not know many here, have even less reason than me to be here. Unfortunately, I do not have the privilege of walking around freely like you do. One of my groups has gone missing, and I, being one of the few acquainted with the town, am looking for her. So excuse me if I am unable to speak to you any longer. And you need not escort me. I am capable of taking care of myself. Thank you." She hoped that will ward him off.

With that, she turned around and started to walk briskly, resisting the urge to run, but getting as much distance between them as possible. When speaking to him, he sounded and acted normal, but the dangerous air around him was still there. It caused her to fear him, certainly...but also entranced her. She still did not know what he was capable of, and she wanted to find out... Seeing him as confirmed that he wasn't normal. The truth was, no one did walk around at this time, and he had dodged her question of what he was doing out here. Was he following her? She laughed at that idea, thinking that she was overestimating her allure...But she got serious again quickly. Calixte was still out there, and whatever he was doing, he was walking about, and she needed to find her before Calixte found out what he was capable of.

Thankfully, while she was thinking all that, her legs had been working, and she soon saw a slight figure sitting down by a building, with bundle by her side. Reene ran quickly to the figure's side. "Calixte, thank God I found you. What are you doing out here? It's night, and I've been searching all over for you, and the others are waiting."

Reene frowned. There was something off about her. Reene kneeled down until she was at Calixte's eye level. Calixte looked as lost, as if she was somewhere else and not aware of her surroundings. "Are you okay? Did someone attack you?" An image of the man flashed through her head. Did he get there before her?

Thanos felt confused for a second, that girl before, surely was female, why did she deny the fact that she was a 'fair maiden', it could not be possible for at man to look like this. The confusion quickly passed, as the realisation that this female was looking for someone, he decided not to follow her any further, another human knowing of my existence would not be good. He wondered what type of person the lost one was, perhaps a boyfriend? He had not paid very much attention to what she had said about the missing human and had missed whether the girl mentioned gender. No one else had ever been dear enough for him to have risked his life than the one he loved... what became or her..?

He didn't know what to do from here, he was indeed lost, when he was chasing the woman, his attention was focused solely on her, all his surroundings had been totally blocked out. He thought it would be best if he explored during night time, so decided to head the opposite direction of where the girl had gone. Perhaps he should stop at the inn? Though it did him no good, it would help prevent any further exposure, something that was most certainly not good.

As he leisurely made his way through the bright light of the stars, he though again to the social group he had spied earlier, that maiden who had disappeared first? Was that the one who was lost? Searching deeper in thought, he seemed to remember the girl saying it was a girl, it matched with the story he had put together. There was still the problem with the two men, how did they fit in? A group of females could casually be friends, sharing common interests. What was the story behind the other two, one looked like he was flirting earlier, most likely one of the women's lovers, but why would he be with a whole group of girls?

All these questions came without answers, this annoyed Thanos, he liked to know the whole situation before trying anything; years of being in the Royal army had thought him that. A problem struck him like a bolt of lighting, what had become of his roses? They hadn't been watered for a day, without bones to hold them up, water was needed regularly to maintain of of the organelles inside the plant cell that help the plant keep firm and upright. His roses would surely be drooping by now.

There would surely be water at the inn, no matter what, he had to go there now. Starting to run, Thanos heads to the direction of where he sense has the highest concentration of warm blood.

It was pitch black all around as a figure approached Calixte. It was Reene but when she proceeded to talk, Calixte found that she could not understand what was being spoken to her. It sounded distant and blurred or of another language. The woman looked concerned but for some particular reason, she couldn't care. She wanted to as what the matter was but her body would not let her. It felt as though she were a stranger though the girl was quite clearly visible this up close. Showing no signs of doing anything, Calixte simply stared at Reene blankly in a daze and drew back a little. Then she stumbled backwards, the only comfort to her was the darkness. Though she felt cold, the warmth of another gave her no consolation and almost felt scolding.

Deep inside her mind however, she was far off. She was wandering around, lost in a seemingly endless field of flowers. As she approached a wall of flowers that blocked her path, they would part as though to let her past. Each one was perfectly large and flawless. Of the sea of reds and blues, white could also be seen. Although it was possibly the most beautiful thing she had ever seen, she was greatly troubled. It was eerily quiet and looking around she saw no one.
"Please, is anyone there?" She pleaded yet received no reply and no one had come to her aid. It was her fault to ask to be alone and now she was alone eternally.

Listening to Luna's concern over Reene and Calixte, Sara became even more worried.

"What do we do? We can't just stand here all night, hoping that Reene and Calixte will come back."

Shane replied, "Well, there is always the authorities. We could go to them and report the two of them missing and see if they can search for them. What does everyone else think?" Shane looked at Luna, Aya, and Celia.

"I've been sensing something really scary ever since before Renee and I split off to find Calixte. I'm scared that they may be in danger."

Calixte backed away. Reene stepped forward looked into her eyes, and even though it was dark, what she saw scared her. Calixte's eyes...were vacant. She wasn't seeing Reene, but reflecting back her feelings of what she saw. Fear... pain... loneliness... hopelessness... lost somewhere... Those eyes, they were so eerily vacant, but so silently painful... She remembered those eyes...

For a moment, Reene forgot Calixte, forgot the man, forgot the others waiting for her...Those eyes... they took her back to a place she didn't want to go back to. Long long ago.. looking at the mirror, seeing those oblivious eyes staring back at her... Trapped within a beautiful jail. She wanted to be alone. No, she didn't want to be alone! Screaming out for someone, anyone, to tell her what to think, what to do. To save her.

At that moment, Calixte murmured some words Reene couldn't quite catch, in response to something she could only see, snapping Reene out of her own thoughts. As she looked at Calixte's weak figure, Reene felt almost hysterical. She hated those eyes...Oh God, how she hated those eyes! She didn't want to see them, on her, on anyone! But she didn't know what to do.... What could she do, when she was still suffering somewhat herself?!

Almost unconscious of what she was doing, to save herself more than Calixte, she grabbed an arm and hoisted Calixte up. She spoke, as if it was a mantra, "I'm here...You're not alone..." again and again and again.

Calixte, feeling her body being pulled up, returned to reality and blinked for a while, looking about.
"Oh, umm... Reene... it's you," she said, rather confused, "Err... what happened?" Seeing that Reene had obviously tried to take her somewhere, she automatically apologized,
"Gosh, I'm so sorry for any trouble I've caused you. I shouldn't have left all by myself to wander the streets; I was really stupid to do what I did. Where are the others now?"

It was a lot darker than when she had first left, and she could hardly see any of her surrounding. She looked to Reene which had a somewhat panic-stricken expression on her face and this made her feel uncomfortable as she always thought of Reene as a person who stayed collected no matter what happened.
"I'm sorry," she apologized again, "And thank you... for thinking of me I suppose," Though trying not to show worry, she was rather scared.
"We should get going if you don't mind, I think the darkness might be getting to me." She said with a nervous smile and laid one hand against her head as if to steady herself from dizziness. Then she retrieved her backpack and peered inside. Counting the objects, she was relieved nothing had been lost. She also glanced down quickly at her hand and saw that the ring was still their. Silently breathing a sigh of relief, she was glad to see everything was still present.

"So umm, are we heading back or something?" Calixte asked, purposely making herself sound as meek as possible and hoped it would let Reene regain some control over the situation as she feared seeing her like this.

Calixte still wondered how what happened, had occurred and exactly what had happened still remained a mystery. Not recalling a similar situation from the past, she grew slightly apprehensive of what might have done it to her.

Reene looked at Calixte, who was regaining her sense, and speaking. She still looked rather lost, but it was a natural kind of lost, as if she wasn't really aware of what she had seen before. Reene felt relieved, because it proved Calixte had not really lived in those eyes, like she had, so she decided not to push the situation. So as long as Calixte was fine.

She began to realize how worked-up she was, under Calixte's obvious worried -or was it fearful?- gaze and simple questions. She closed her eyes and breathed in deeply, regaining her composure....In and out...

When she opened her eyes again, she was once again the Reene that Calixte knew.

"It's okay," she said to Calixte, "You don't need to thank me. I don't like people I know to go missing, that is all." Reene flashed back to a tall regal woman she had seen every day but never spoke too. She paused for a second, and smiled wistfully. "Whatever happens after I leave, I don't really care, but until then..." She shrugged and looked at Calixte, who had gathered all her stuff.

"I suppose we can go now to the inn. I remember I told Luna to tell them that I'd go back to the inn if I couldn't find you in an hour, and it's pushing that now. They should be there. And if not... It's late and we all need to get there, anyhow."

She started walking, not waiting for a response. Now that the danger had passed and she had regained herself, she found herself tired and not in any mood to be considerate. In fact, Reene felt a simpering anger underneath it all... Calixte really was very stupid to go wandering off by herself. And so Reene said, while walking, "As for what happened, you should be answering me that. Luna and I went looking for you at the church, but you weren't there. Night was approaching, and strange men were walking about. We started to panic, and Luna split up while I went looking for you. Why did you leave in the first place, and why didn't you go to the church?"

Calixte walked after Reene, who didn't seem to care about her anymore. This did get on her nerves slightly but she waved it by, understanding that Reene had done nothing wrong and that everything was her fault.
"When I left, I was expecting that people would follow, after all Aya did mention she wanted to leave. I only realized that no one followed me when it was too late and by then I was already quite lost. I didn't think that it would be dangerous, I wasn't afraid of thieves too much and if by strange men you mean the homeless ones on the streets who are always drunk and like to molest young women then I know how to deal with them. You should see how the older boys at my school were. Other than that I saw no danger I guess..." She replied softly as she stared at the ground and continued but also slowed slightly.

After a while she looked up and saw Reene quite far a head of her. She was regretful that she had worried the group but the truth was she didn't really expect them to care.
"I'm a bad person," She told herself, sighing. For a moment, she considered leaving the group, maybe then she would not cause them anymore trouble but her life would become even more meaningless. She could be useful to them in the future anyway.

Though wishing that she could ask Reene what she truly meant when she had said strange men, she did not as she believed that it would cause her annoyance. Sighing once again, she quickened her pace as to catch up to Reene.

Sara didn't like the idea of Celia going off by herself, despite that she said that she was a sorceress and could take care of herself. But Luna didn't want to go to the authorities, either.

"Hmm, why don't we all just head back to the inn? It is getting late and perhaps there those inside who have seen Calixte and Reene and know where they are. And who knows? Maybe those two are back themselves and we're just standing around here for nothing."

Shane nodded. "That sounds good. I can escort you ladies back to the inn."

Looking around to take note of his surroundings, he would not get lost again. He saw the library, he knew that it was next to the general store, which was next to the inn. This meant he was going the right way, his instincts were to be thanked again. Starting to speed up, he saw that group again, Luna was with them, and they were most likely discussing the situation of the other to girls. Putting them out of of his mind, he set his attention back to the inn and thought of what he would do during the night time. He should rent a room in case he needed to hide form those girls, if he becomes blinded from his starvation, at least it would provide some setback, though he thought it best if he found something to kill.

Upon arriving at the inn, he noticed the downstairs area was a restaurant or some sort, or at least a bar. It would be awkward to ask for a glass of water and that only, pondering what he would do he decided to toss the food out afterwards, to some wild animals or a beggar on the street, sitting down at a very large table, he was unaware of the concept 'saving space' since all the table we was used to were big and seated at least 22 people. Waiting for a waitress to come, he looked around at the people here.

Reene listened to Calixte's explanations. It still did not explain why she left, but perhaps she was just fed up with Prince Nico. Luna seemed to have left for the same reason... And she couldn't quite blame them really. She remember her distaste for the flirtatious young man.

She looked back and saw Calixte walking behind by herself, still looking quite weak. She felt a pang of regret, and so slowed down until she was by Calixte's side again. When she was side by side with Calixte again, she said, "Don't do that again. We're in the same group, and when you wander off by yourself and don't come back, of course there's going to be trouble. Go with someone else next time. And would you call the state I found you in to be 'not dangerous'? Perhaps you did not encounter any danger, and perhaps if you did, you would've been able to take care of it..."

Reene paused and eyed Calixte. Calixte was weak when Reene found her, but now that she seemed to have recovered, the feeling that she knew more came back. Reene remembered her mentioning a school... so she continued, "...You are more capable than you let on...But regardless, unexpected things happen, and I don't wish to see them happen on you while I am in your group. If not for me, then for the others, who don't want to see you harmed...." She paused again, seeing that Calixte looked like she was blaming herself, "Or beating yourself up."

Reene sighed, "Like I said, just don't do that again." She hoped that was a good enough pep talk, because that was the best that she could do. And she really was very relieved that Calixte was fine.... She hated to see anyone in her company, especially one who possessed, however briefly, the same eyes she had....

They were close to the inn then, and Reene felt herself feeling more and more relax as they approached it. Luna had said her path had many surprises for her... She believed she had just gone through one of those surprises...and perhaps one of the obstacles, if she was on a dark path... And so she began to feel very triumphant as she stepped through the doors of the inn...

...Where she was instantly met with the figure of the strange man she had seen before, in which case all the muscles in her body tensed. She breathed in deeply. So it seemed that when fate called for a surprise, they really meant a surprise...and when they called for an obstacle, they meant this type of obstacle.

Calixte stepped through the door way after Reene only to see the man sitting at the table at which Reene seemed to be looking.
"Eeep!" She shrieked as her eyes widened and quickly span around so her back was to him. Hugging her backpack against her chest with one hand, she grabbed Reene's arm with the other in an involuntary reaction and pulled her outside. "Uhh Reene, I'm sorry but I don't think it's a good idea to go in there at this particular moment..." she said hoping that Reene wouldn't question her decision.

'No, I'm being silly. It cannot be him, he is... dead." Calixte thought to herself as she pressed her back against the wall and tried to peer through the window.
"Please just trust me Reene. There's umm... something you shouldn't know- err... don't want to see in there!" Calixte warned hoping that, for once, her explanation would just be taken as it was.

Reene looked at Calixte quietly. She could've sworn Calixte's strange reaction was towards the strange man. Did she know him...?

That backed up her opinion that he was dangerous, but...

"We have to go in," Reene said, also turning so that she could face Calixte, who was hugging her backpack close to her. Reene pulled Calixte to the side so that they were out of the doorway, out of the man's sight, and said, "This is the only inn, and the church won't let me in. The others are going to be here soon anyway. You can go by yourself if you want to the church, but I have to go in." She paused, "Sorry.... And if it makes you feel any better, whomever he is, he can't do anything with me around you."

She waited to see what Calixte would do.

Turning back to the others, she said,

Sara was ready to head back, hoping that the others (minus Aya) would follow.

"Umm, can't do anything? What do you mean?" Calixte asked as she looked at Reene with a concerned, yet puzzled expression. She thought for a moment about what Reene had told her as she looked towards the door to make sure no one had emerged from it.

She convinced herself that her assumption was nothing more than an over reaction. After all, Reene acted as though she knew this person when Calixte was quite sure that they couldn't have ever had met. Closing her eyes for a while, she calmed herself and decided that it would be alright.
"Okay, I guess I should stay here. You did say a minute ago not to go places all by myself anyway." Looking around to make sure that there was no one else around, she continued in a quiet whisper, "Err... do you know him?" Indicating towards the inn with her eyes, she hoped that Reene's comment didn't mean anything and was just something she had said to reassure her.

Looking around the building Thanos waved a waitress over and ordered a glass of water, and some bread, hoping that it would be enough as an acceptable order; watching closely as the she quickly scribble something onto a note pad and hurried away. While waiting for his food to arrive, his gaze passed the entrance where he saw a cloaked figure jolting suddenly out of sight, as if she was pulled by someone, he presumed that it was unimportant but decided to keep his guard up for any strangeness. He tried to filter out the sound of her voice which he remembered, not perfectly, but to an extent which could differentiate it from others. To his disappointment, he could not block out the other noises within the inn, he half expected it though as his bonuses were not as strong if he didn't feed.

He turned back to the table just as his bread and water arrived, he tipped the waitress hoping that it would be enough. Carefully examining the room to make sure no one was watching, he took a thin, opaque but glass tube from his inside coat pocket, it had a stopper also made from glass with intricate patterns and had glass vines which wrapped around.
Taking the stopper off the veil, he poured a little of the water into it and swiftly replaced the plug and then the bottle, again out of view. He took the glass off the table and drank the remaining water, there would be no way of carrying it around without a container, taking the bread off the table he paid for the food and started for the exit.

As soon as Aya left, Shane led the way back to the inn with Sara beside him. The two assumed that Luna and Celia were following them.

Reene looked at Calixte, "No, I don't know him. Or, I met him, at least, but merely briefly, when I was going to meet you. He came from out of nowhere rather suspiciously." She remembered his almost inhumane experience when she was out at night. Then she shrugged, "Your concern seemed to be for the strange man, and since my experience with him hasn't been the best... I thought... It's just intuition. But we'll go in since you don't mind."

She walked out of the dark corner Calixte and her was talking in and into the inn's doorway, only to almost collide with the strange man who seemed to be exiting the inn, but stopped just short of doing it, but ended up toppling and falling down because of it. She stared up from him from the ground, still startled.

aya then walked in the dark streets she then saw a big building which looked like the church.

Aya: looks like im close.

aya said as she saw a small pathway leading to a cottage. aya knocked on the door. a girl raging from 8-10 years old answered it.

Girl: yes my i help you?
Aya: im looking for orchid have you seen her?

the girl looked inside the house.

Girl: grandma someone's looking for you a woman
Orchid: who is it? let her in.
Girl: come in please.

the girl said politely, aya walked inside and saw another kid standing beside a woman with red hair.

Aya: good evening, i was to drop off a letter for orchid.

the red haired woman replied.

Rose: she's my mom, and im rose by the way. this is my daughter snow and my son travis
Aya: nice to meet you. uh wheres their father?
Rose: oh he's working as a miner in candar so he will be back by the end of the month.
Aya: oh!
Orchid: oh! looks like you are getting closer. *smiles* what is it my dear?
Aya: oh one of the nun's in the church want to give you this letter.
Orchid: oh! glad it's here. it's a classified magic skill. i will let Rose teach it on the opening classes. i retired from being a teacher and rose is taking my place.
Aya: oh sorry to hear your retiring but happy to know that your daughter is taking your place. oh by the way i need to go, it's kind of dark already.
Orchid: oh! sure sure. i sens your a magic user why don't you drop by sometime and i could teach you some magic.
Aya: oh! that will be great thank you. maybe i will just drop by sometime. bye!
Orchid, Rose & kids: bye!

aya then walked along the path and arrived at the church entrance.

Though she was worried about the others, there was no reason for them to be all in danger. They certainly wouldn't be helping anyone if they were all in danger. So Luna agreed and followed Shane and Sara back to the inn.

They drew closer to the inn Celia was beside Luna and Shane and Sara were side by side in front of them.

Luna raised the question to the rest of the group.
"So what do you suppose we do from here? I do not think it is such a good idea for us all to be out looking as being in danger won't help the others. Perhaps we can find a guard or something to go out and look for them."

And I'm confused because when I created this RP, it wasn't supposed to be about future generations about the current Cute Knight characters. It threw me off when I read that Orchid was retiring since Shane had mentioned earlier that Orchid was still teaching. Anyway, I don't want to get into a conflict about this so PM me about this, ok?))

Sara thought it over. "Your suggestion does sound good but I was thinking that we should go inside the inn since there will be lots of people there and perhaps one of them has seen Reene or Calixte. Then we could contact the guards if it is necessary."

Seeing Reene enter the inn, she too, walked apprehensively through the door. Glancing around she Saw that Reene was on the ground, being most likely knocked over. She herself, however, wasn't aware of where she was going and headed straight into the path of the man leaving the inn. Not realising in time to stop herself, she walked into him.
"Oh, my. Umm... I'm so sorry." She said as she flashed a look to upwards what she had bumped into. It felt almost like a brick wall only it didn't hurt as much but she was petrified to see the face of the tall gentleman.

Instantly, she became silent as she looked towards Reene to check that she was alright although she knew that her concern for Reene was because she worried excessively. Reene did seem like a tough girl after all but she couldn't help but be concerned for her safety, especially because of the one whom was around her. Perhaps he had caused her harm in some way?

Thanos was almost out of the noisy and busy little inn when seemingly out of nowhere, the second girl he met this day appeared in the doorway, almost running into him. He new the two women were there, he should have been more careful. She fell to the floor when she stopped herself and was gazing at him and without flinching, Thanos bent down to grab the neck of her cloak, bringing her to her feet. Turning away from her and releasing his grasp he continued his exit where he would return to the safety of the night, even the artificial lighting made him uncomfortable.

Just as he started walking, another person intersected him path, this time though, she did hit him. It was certainly the one the cloaked girl was talking to just out of his sight when he was inside the inn. He looked down and this new girl, his eyes widened at the sight of a thin, young girl, with long black hair, dark blue eyes and a sailor styled school uniform. Seizing her left wrist in a brisk motion, his face showed sign of worry, and almost puzzlement.
"Is it really you?" He said almost angrily, the tone of his voice not matching the expression on his face, however, almost instantly, it regained it's normal marble like appearance, his eyes once cold and hard once again.

But anyway, I wanted to let you all know that I'm going to take a break from things here for a while. I've been incredibly stressed out and I need the vacation time to relax and all. I'll be back on the 11th and hopefully much better then. And I have another RP in mind. Just need to figure out how to develop the idea. ))

((Hello, everyone. I know I said I'd be back in a week and it's more like a month. I do apologize for that. I've been incredibly busy with work and maintaining things on Snow Flower so I haven't had time to be here yet. This isn't even a full return yet but I thought I'd drop by since I got the Hanako newsletter and all.

Let me see where everyone's head is at. For those of you who have participated in the RP in the past, do you want to continue where this has left off? Please reply in this thread or make a new one if this will go too off-topic. That way, if the majority want to continue, I'll figure out a way to make it happen.

I've also been thinking about creating a Fatal Hearts RP but haven't worked out the details for it yet. That way, we can have another active RP going on.

I'll be ghosting here but let me know what you all think and I'll see what I can do and hopefully free up some time.))

OCC: I think it would be good if we could pick up where it was left as I don't really see any other way to continue unless we start a whole new RP.
I was thinking about a Fatal Hearts RP, it's a good idea but it could get a bit messy with the endings and such (not that we couldn't chose a specific ending or find a way around the problems).
I understand that your busy, it's alright. In a few weeks my school's going to start the end of year exams however it probably wont affect my activity much.
