Duke of Sedna and Hospital

Is there any way to meet the Duke of Sedna AND build the Hospital in the same game?

He only seems to pop up if you accept his Necklace, but you only seem to be able to meet the hospital lady if you reject the Duke and don't meet him that week.

It's supposed to be possible to pick up that conversation later, but only if you had the keythong conversation before Sedna's visit.

Could you elaborate a little bit more please on what to do to get both events (meeting the Duke and getting to build the hospital) to fire?

The week that you see the omen of the owl-and-leaf, it should also add either the keythong conversation or the hospital conversation if either of them had not taken place previously.

The keythong conversation takes precedence, so if you hadn't gotten that one before, it will override this chance to get the hospital conversation.

Having the keythong conversation early requires, I think, that you either avoid going to combat with Ixion or get it over with really fast so that the event doesn't take up too many weeks.

Can you elaborate what to do on specific weeks to get both events? I'm still a little lost and confused. (sorry)

Can I get both events only by wearing the necklace? I never seem to be able to when I turn down the Necklace gift.

Okay, you seem to be able to get both events but only if you accept the Necklace and then deal with Ixion in a peace negotiation.

That works great! I can reject that crappy Duke then defeat him in a trade war!
