"Affected by [Mood]" message

Every once in a while, along with the mood +/- notifications I see a message stating "Affected by [Mood]" (the one I just saw, for instance, was "Affected by Willfulness". Sometimes the mood specified is high, but sometimes not; sometimes the mood specified is what I have just switched to, but sometimes not.

What does such a message mean?

It depends (unhelpful answer, I know). With the weekend activities, there are times when it makes a difference which side of the bar a mood is on. So in that case you can be affected by your willfulness even if you aren't in the overall Willful mood. Visiting the Dungeon gives different results if you're on the willful side or the yielding side.

There are a couple of times in actual plot events where your mood can affect the outcome. In those cases, I believe it checks your actual dominant mood rather than just which side it's on.
