Mistress of the Harem (spoileriffic)

I've been doing some looking, and I find that whenever I dance with Julianna, I marry a random duke, and can't get the ending where Elodie doesn't marry because she "can do whatever-and whoever-she wants." It only shows up if I dance with Arisse.

Is this working as designed, or are you supposed to get the harem ending if you dance with Julianna?

Those elements are not directly related. I suspect it's just that the balance of other choices you're making is tending to shift one way or the other.

Marrying a random foreign noble has to do with your Military + Intrigue score.

Keeping a harem has to do with your Cruelty score.

Ah, okay. So if I want to stick to affairs instead of marry (or take a romance), I should be cruel and not especially competent in politics. Gotcha.
