Super confused with week 28 *possible spoilers*

#1 by Aeslinn - Nov 1 2012

Okay, I'm having huge issues with this week. I die so much.
Don't know if this needs colouring or not, but will do anyway.

Okay, so I'm getting to 74 reflex, 30 archery and 50 battlefield medicine. I've redone this bit so much, it's driving me mad. what am I not getting?

What are you having trouble with specifically? The adventure with Briony? Or the adventure to Gwenelle's birthday party?

Sorry, but it's hard to give advice if you don't explain what you're having trouble with Confused

Oops XD it's the trip to Gwenelles birthday.

Try leveling up just reflexes and archery, it's easier to pass that check than it is the battlefield medicine one (since after you pass battlefield medicine you also need composure or something else, I can't remember).

If you can't get it quite high enough, try wearing skill outfits to boost your stats up a bit, on one occasion that has made a difference between life and death for me Razz

OR you can just not go to the party at all. It IS optional to go to the party, after all, though Gwenelle may be disappointed...

I played it without going to the party, and doing the bare minimum to survive. Voila, I made it to the coronation Very Happy

Congrats, now the real fun (imo) begins, since you now know what you have to face and the general requirements to get past them, you can begin experimenting with different skills to see all the different scenes! Very Happy

If you'd like now that you got to the end, might I also suggest you visit the debug codes topic? Cheating is fun too!

You can also go to the party and not be attacked at all, if you prefer. You just need to deal with the root cause of the bandit problem...

Ramidel: .... I never realized that. I ALWAYS got attacked by bandits.

To the LLTQ! Must figure this out!

I got through it without getting attacked once in my many playthroughs, but I have no idea what I did different that time that made them not attack me... (also on that same playthrough, I didn't get the poison attempt, not sure how that happened, either...)

I still don't know what I did, but now that I have debug codes, I don't really care, either Razz

I've completed it as many ways as I can Very Happy not finished the checklist, though. Will get round to that. At some point. Definitely gonna look for debugging codes Very Happy

Lucille is responsible for hiring the bandits. Either get rid of her or bring her on your side at the ball.

Sometimes if the commoners hate you, you'll be bandit-attacked anyway, but it's kinda hard to get the commoners to hate you.

You can also hire bodyguards to protect you during a conversation with your father.

Yeah, but then you still get attacked. Plus, bodyguards reduce the number of soldiers you have available to do soldier stuff with, if I'm not mistaken.
