I have played the game many times but everytime I end up doing this:
sense magic success, herbs success, horses (if I succeeded I went home) failed, running success. We ran home. I see people saying they fought a boss monster and stuff.

I think that's the best possible outcome of that scenario, actually. Are you sure people aren't referring to the 'boss fight' duel at the end?

All I know is Briony, adventure and Boss monster..... so I assumed it was the adventure with that tenticule monster
