Questions (Lumen crystals, motive spoilers)

Why exactly does Togami want Elodie's crystal? Unless he's really just that weird and wants a keepsake or something. I thought it's not possible to use the power of someone else's crystal, and even if you give that crystal to someone else to use, that person will just absorb Elodie's resonance and turn into Togami's enemy anyway.

This can be found out in-game if you have the right stats and ask the right questions of the right people but it's a little hard to accomplish.

Basically, if you defeat a Lumen in a certain kind of formal duel, you can change the resonance of their crystal. That's why he insists on fighting her as a Lumen instead of just killing her if she isn't one yet. He wants that crystal turned to the dark side.

But even then it's not as if Togami can use the crystal for himself...

You first need to accomplish the event "found a spare Lumen crystal." To do this, have Sense Magic = 100 by Week 20 to unlock a fourth choice during the event. Select the new option, and have Resist Magic >= 60, Flexibility >= 50, or Reflexes + Running >= 50 to succeed. Then at the end of the 21st week, you'll have a chance to talk to Selene about the spare crystal.

He can't use it for himself, but he can give it to a minion and thus (potentially) have another Lumen on his side. Especially if said minion is grateful enough to willingly blend powers with him (which was the key to Novan dominance in the world long long ago - there were a lot of Lumens working in concert.)
