How do I avoid cival war? And another question.

I kept trying to make it so I could go exploring with your friend who wants adventure at the birthday party but no matter how I tried it, every time I was able to get her to come back to the castle, cival war broke out and I ended up having to forgo the adventure. Is there something I can do to prevent the cival war and still get her to come or does the cival war happen BECAUSE I have her come back with me?

And on a seperate note: is it inveitable that you will have to face the Lumen king and his fleet? Because if I don't focus on my Lumen skills right away, he always kills me in the end even if I make it by everything else. So far the only time I ever beat the game was by preparing for that single encounter and ignoring evrything else.

No, it's not because you brought your friend home with you.

Civil war only happens if the nobility is disappointed with your progress as leader. Various things will please and annoy them in small amounts. Generally, you want to look smart, strong, and in control. Your social skills at the gala can make a big difference in how they perceive you.

If you want to start the civil war, then try doing things that will seriously irritate the nobles like giving away territory to Ixion, raising taxes, and getting Adair killed.

If you want to avoid it, pander to noble interests to keep them happy, or have the ringleader assassinated before the war can kick off.

As for Mister End Boss, he will always turn up, but there are many different ways you can get through the encounter alive. You don't have to do the magical duel. You don't have to become a Lumen at all!

Ohhh ok, I guess I was just trying to make sure I had every skill I would need for the adventure and kinda ignored the ones that made you look good, thanks.

so he's the end boss? Oh man that explains why ot's so hard. @-@ But I don't have to become a luman? I guess that could work, if I can just figure out the other way lol.

If you are concerned with a civil war... then CRUSH the opposition Razz

You really shouldnt view it as beating the game, rather trying to understand the setting that you have been thrown into, it gives for a couple of unique stories, that all in all are quite interesting.

And as Hanako pointed out above, there are several ways of getting "around" him and handling him, i must admit the best is still going the non-lumen way xD (had to try even if im a huge fan of magic Razz)

How do I assassinate Arisse? /: Can't seem to get to that. I usually manage to avoid the civil war even without high conversation/royal demeanor by just choosing to bluff the Ixionites and accept Talarist's proposal.
