I inscribed stuff on the walls in the 3rd dungeon. I noticed when I started a new game, my inscriptions are still there. bug?

Feature, undocumented, but deliberate.

Because while the professors reset the puzzle before each exam, they don't bother cleaning graffiti. Otherwise none of the default inscriptions would be there. (At least, that's the in-universe excuse. The actual reason is that I was musing about nethack-style bones files and realised that while real bones files would break the puzzles, persistent inscriptions would be trivial to add.)

Good old nethack.

I was pretty surprised when I realized "Wait a second... my inscriptions are still here? o_O". I don't remember if it was one of the original inscriptions but I remember one that was "Sorry, had to erase this one, gave away the answer" or something like that. Don't suppose you do some kind of check on the inscriptions to see if they reveal the puzzle? That would be kinda impressive lol.

What I would like is for someone to tell me where all these inscriptions are.. I guess I'll have to just make one character run through inspecting all of the walls.
