Mysterious presence at night?

I thought that as long as I had the Communication spell I could see the event when I wake up at night because of a noise. I remember triggering it once for the secret society but I couldn't in the last update (during the newest gameplay week). Are the two events connected and I'd need to see the first one to trigger the next, or are there different spell/stat requirements for the different 'mystery voice' events?

I've been trying to figure out what's up with the night events. Only in one play through did I have underwear stolen (but only found out when Potsdam brings is back), and I'm not sure if that is related. What's this about a secret society? lol

I've had characters already.. involved in that and they didn't have any change to the most recent night time event.

So I have no idea. Even the girl with the around 60 white magic stat didn't get any clues, so I'm guessing it's just foreshadowing.

You need Communication (the spell) and a rather vengeance minded PC to... join a certain group. Or you can influence Ellen to join instead.

Huh that group sounds fun. I'll have to hunt around for it sometime.

But yeah, I don't know. I just assumed that it was the underwear thing. Given how it happens not long after and such.

One time playing I woke up to Ellen crying one night that could be it she was having a nightmare.

Yeah, I had the nightmare event with my Ellen character. That is probably it.

It's strange, but only my bra ended up being stolen. I also had the nightmare event with Ellen.
