I can't start my game after last updates (I am getting a message: Errors occurred).#2 by hanako - Mar 6 2011
I can get you a fresh download, but fresh downloads will cause bugs if installed over half-uninstalled older copies, so it's usually better to work out what's gone wrong with your current install and try to fix it.

I don't remember exactly what was the last version ... maybe it was alfa. But I check for updates every day!#4 by Spiky Caterpillar - Mar 6 2011
Ah, the leftover week19.rpyc from the last alpha (or beta?) isn't compatible with the version you downgraded to. Try deleting D:\Program Files\Magical Diary - Horse Hall\game\week19.rpyc and seeing if it will let you start the game? (Then, if that works, update to a beta to redownload week19.)

Thank you, I deleted week19.rpyc. And now I can play *Magic Diary*, but I don't see new updates for my game (version - 0.2.98 ).#6 by hanako - Mar 6 2011
I think Spiky's been forgetting to push things from beta to release when he updates the latest beta. *pokes the caterpillar*

Oke. But NOW nothing occurs when I click *Check for updates*. Then where can I download last beta version?#8 by hanako - Mar 7 2011
Do you have 'show beta versions' set to Enabled?
#9 by Benazir - Mar 7 2011
Yes, of course.hanako:

Sorry, just had to check.
#11 by Benazir - Mar 7 2011
Oh, yes! Now I downloaded updates (beta version 0.3.28.1) and the game runs just fine. Thank you very much!#12 by PennyFaust - Mar 16 2011
Not sure what went wrong, but I sent the rollback---or I think I did. I'm not sure if it went through D: and now the game wont even start up. I tried uninstalling then reinstalling but that hasn't worked either <8D;#13 by hanako - Mar 16 2011
Did you at any point attempt to reset to an earlier version?#14 by PennyFaust - Mar 16 2011
:C ahhh yeah, I tried to downgrade after it stopped working but that made it completely crash.#15 by hanako - Mar 16 2011
No problem, we didn't realise at first what a mess downgrading was going to create. We may disable that feature entirely considering the problems it causes! (At the moment we're trying to see what can be done to make it less hazardous.)#16 by PennyFaust - Mar 16 2011
So, I deleted all the old files and folders and such and reinstalled the game from the link emailed to me but the game crashed the moment I tried to run it again :C I managed to send a bug report and tried to downgrade once again since it was having trouble, but then it crashed completely and now it wont open once again.#17 by hanako - Mar 16 2011
Do not downgrade during development unless specifically told by me or Spiky to do so. It WILL break your game.#18 by PennyFaust - Mar 16 2011
Ffff I'm sorry I keep messing up! The error I get when trying to open it is this:#19 by hanako - Mar 16 2011
Huh! That's interesting. Haven't seen that error before.#20 by PennyFaust - Mar 16 2011
I looked all over the place but that file doesn't seem to exist on my computer D: All I found was:#21 by hanako - Mar 16 2011
siiiiiiiiigh. (Not at you. At Windows.)#22 by PennyFaust - Mar 16 2011
:"D That seemed to do it! Thanks so much for all the help! Hopefully it will continue working C: If it crashes again or any other problems arise, I'll let you know.
