Romance paths (spoilers)

Grabiner
-have to be treasurer

Damien
-have to accept his hand at the assembly thing

Donald
-get into detention as much as you can Wink

This is a work in progress since the game is not complete yet and any help would be appreciated Smile

hanako

#2 by hanako - Mar 7 2011

If you want to get anywhere with Grabiner, you have to be Treasurer. Otherwise he will only see you as just another student.

That relationship develops more slowly than the others do, so don't expect too much action early on.

Naiomi666

spanking (semi spoilers)

#3 by Naiomi666 - Mar 7 2011

Merged from other topic since the discussion was relevant to this topic. And because I just installed a 'merge' mod on the forum and wanted to test it.

i had a question or a favor. If you get magically spanked does grabiner ever mention it again? Or does our character ever think about that incident?

deb44

#4 by deb44 - Mar 7 2011

i haven't seen Grabiner mention it again through my playthroughs

sweetdreams

#5 by sweetdreams - Mar 7 2011

yes I became a treasurer and also got the wedding scene Smile but I've seen others get the smack scene? How do I get that?

I don't believe I've seen this event. Does it happen in a class or where?

Riviera

#7 by Riviera - Mar 7 2011

It's one of the detention events.

Ellume

Ahh, thanks. I will go track it down sometime.

I'm just curious as to whether I should be cheeky and not really get spanked or if I should get a magical spanking (to have better approval with Grabiner)

hanako

#10 by hanako - Mar 7 2011

The spanking is not required for a good outcome with Grabiner (because not everyone is kinky and I don't want to force that!) Beyond that, do what seems sensible for you and the character you're playing! Smile

Riviera

#11 by Riviera - Mar 14 2011

I've gotten Donald's path and I've only gotten detention one time, for the fire dragon event.

I don't think it's required, but you do get more events with him. You understand the full story behind a certain box, for instance, if you were in detention with him before that.

All you really have to do is be nice to him, which applies to any of them, really. Smile

Spoilery bits in white.

I've managed to get on four of the main paths Donald, Grabiner, Damien & Virginia in various playthroughs and I am close to Ellen in a fifth, but more as a BFF than romantically which I found really interesting.

I'm also super curious to see if there's a minor romance path with Big Steve or if he's just meant to either get my character/one of my love interests interested in trying Bounders competitively later on. I also feel like there's something brewing for Luke and Logan, but probably in another story than this one. Part of me wishes I could sweep Minnie off her feet, but I also like being a supportive shoulder for her with certain characters.

Most part being kind to people has worked out really well like Riveria pointed out and experimenting with when I go to the mall versus staying in to study to get certain events. Still haven't figured out how to get the 'spanking'.

sayuri

#13 by sayuri - Mar 16 2011

I believe spanking is when for the first 'real' dungeon you jump over the abyss.

I've been having trouble getting the romances with Virginia and Ellen. The closest I've gotten with Ellen was on my 'bitchy' file. I kept making her and Virginia mad at me. Still, I got an event with Ellen before the dance about who she could ask, and I said 'I was actually going to ask you'. She turned me down and didn't ask me to Medea but that was the closest I ever got to romance. As for Virginia... I'm not even sure Razz

hanako

#14 by hanako - Mar 16 2011

To get an actual romance with Virginia instead of a close friendship, you need to have raised a certain stat. If you're on her path but you don't have enough points in that stat, she'll at some point give you a hint about what the stat was, but declare that the two of you are very good friends and that's what she wants.

For Ellen, the option to take things in a more romantic direction will occur during the Valentine's events. (So as of this writing, when the plot is only at the beginning of February, it hasn't happened yet.)

perch

#15 by perch - Mar 17 2011

@hanako That's super exciting then. I wonder if my character will stay friends with Ellen or advance at Valentine's day. I really love that all five major paths have clearly different types of romances. It makes all my playthroughs feel unique and worth it to run through the content multiple times discovering all the little extra things.

@Sayuri Thanks. I never thought to do that during that dungeon, but in hindsight, that would make complete sense to get Grabiner to flip out.

As for Virginia her romance path is very sweet. I actually stumbled over it in a play through while hunting around for extra Donald scenes and trying classes I don't usually take. Hint: It's Virginia's passion and related to the club you're in and going to the mall often lets you participate in certain events about her brothers.

a_crow

#16 by a_crow - Mar 27 2011

I finally got to play a bit of Ellen's path and I'm pretty happy with it so far. Only if she just sees my character as her best friend (although the romantic valentines day gift might have helped >:3). I hope that I get to see more of Ellen! (she's just too cute~)

Elze

#17 by Elze - Mar 27 2011

@ a_crow: The game doesn't load past valentine's day for me currently :O
Are you playing the alpha version?

Valentine's Day has just hit beta, so the Ellen romance unlock is now in play.

Elze

Omg yay! Thanks for informing us :'D

sweetdreams

#20 by sweetdreams - Mar 28 2011

a question about the valentines day part...if we get a romantic one for grabiner, does that get more points with him or not cos when I did I ended up with -10 demerits xD

hanako

#21 by hanako - Mar 28 2011

No, that does not win you points with him, sorry. Razz

Elze

#22 by Elze - Mar 28 2011

This is strange.
Spoiler: When I accept Damien, I don't get anything from him on Valentine's. But when I told him I'd rather be friends, or that I'm not willing to take a chance, he sends me chocolates. Does reverse psychology work with him or are the chocolates merely friendship presents? :O

hanako

#23 by hanako - Mar 28 2011

Oops, that sounds like the flag may have been coded backwards... that should be patched shortly. Damien is supposed to send you a Valentine's gift if and only if you're dating him at that point.

perch

#24 by perch - Mar 29 2011

Does sending Grabiner a romantic valentine lose any points with him? Also if you haven't married him, but got Potsdam to help him does that lock out any chance of my character being with him?

I ask since I have two separate saves with him and get two different reactions when I send him a romantic valentine. When Potsdam saves him instead he tells me to cut out the tomfoolery and that while he can't punish me for participating in a school function he's watching me. And if my Mary Sue is married to him she gets ten demerits outright.

hanako

#25 by hanako - Mar 29 2011

Yes and yes, sorry.

I'll leave it to you guys to theorise about why he reacts the way he does.

perch

#26 by perch - Mar 29 2011

No that's perfect thank you.

I suspected as much about the gift, but I wanted to be sure that the romantic choice for Valentine's Day did cause loss of points since I feel like my Sue is on a razor's edge with him. I have suspicions about some of his hang ups based on his apology speech after the 'love letter' incident.

While I am disappointed there isn't a romantic option if you didn't marry him that also makes sense. It takes place over a year and she's a sixteen year old freshman. There isn't enough time to form a lasting enough respectful relationship/friendship or become mature enough for him to view her as a viable love interest on her own without there being a curve ball thrown in to 'force' them together initially.

WickedDeadly

Donald

#27 by WickedDeadly - Mar 30 2011

Does Donald ever show a response to your Valentine? Also, when I sent Valentines to other people, their name was off the list, but Donald's never leaves, though money is deducted each time...

hanako

#28 by hanako - Mar 30 2011

Donald appears to be slightly busy at the moment. (But the other bit is a bug, we'll check on it.)

sweetdreams

#29 by sweetdreams - Apr 5 2011

aww the 'date' scene with damien was cute but I was just wondering does the choice we make for the question: angela or musette or don't ask make a difference with our relationship with him?

deb44

#30 by deb44 - Apr 6 2011

i'm having a hard time getting virgina's path and ellen's path, can anyone give me some hints?

Riviera

#31 by Riviera - Apr 7 2011

I've found that generally being nice and picking them at the winter event seems to do the trick. Also give them the appropriate valentine.

Other than that..

hanako

#32 by hanako - Apr 7 2011

Ellen, Virginia, or Donald must be (successfully) chosen at the Christmas event in order to start their paths, and then you'll have the friend-or-romance decision later.

With Damien or Grabiner, you sometimes have a chance to switch to their path in January even if you didn't choose them at Christmas. In most cases, doing that will cut off the other paths.

sweetdreams

#33 by sweetdreams - Apr 8 2011

so for the date scene it doesn't matter who we're curious about?

hanako

#34 by hanako - Apr 8 2011

I'm not going to tell you the results for every single choice, there are far too many! You'll have to use your own judgment. Smile I'm trying to stick to giving tips about the really important parts to steer people in the right direction if they're totally lost.

Naiomi666

#37 by Naiomi666 - Apr 26 2011

i had a question about Donald
If i said that i wanted to be friends would i be able to change my mind and during the break incident if i screwed things over by saying the wrong thing will i be able to salvage things with him?

Elze

#38 by Elze - Apr 30 2011

Damien..O___Q
No wonder why he fell out of my favor halfway through the game. There was something about him after all. asflhalweghij. Still chose the love option for the Mary Sue on his path anyway. How much longer is there till the end of the gameplay? Since my Mary Sue and Grabiner still behave like prof and student. D:

perch

#49 by perch - May 11 2011

Does anything happen on Damien's path? Virginia's path was also pretty boring, but Ellen's had an interesting twist.

hanako

#50 by hanako - May 11 2011

There were no events for Damien or Virginia during the week of Apr 6-12. It was a pretty busy week already!

perch

#51 by perch - May 11 2011

That's kind of what I figured. Virginia is pretty neatly tied up...not that it will stop Virginia if she has some kind of drama she wants.

Mostly I am intrigued on Ellen's path. I'm worried I did something wrong since she's pulling away from my Sue and seems determined to do things on her own. I've just played the latest Alpha and it made me wibbly and sad for her.

But I definitely scared my cats when I yelled FINALLY! on Donald's path. I enjoyed Grabiner's too. I feel like he's going to be the worst one. Day of the May Dance still trying to figure out if he likes my Sue romantically of if they'll just get to be buddies. Grabiner why must you be so difficult?! It really does require the patience of a Saint to deal with him.

hanako

#52 by hanako - May 11 2011

Be careful about playing alpha patches! Sometimes the flags are not coming through correctly and you can end up getting scenes that you shouldn't, or not getting scenes that you should. That's the biggest thing I'm frantically testing when I'm running through alpha builds.

With Ellen in particular there was a wrong-branch problem in a recent alpha. It's fixed now, but depending on when you peeked you might have gotten the wrong responses. Smile

perch

#53 by perch - May 11 2011

That's good to know, thank you! I have back saves (never thought I'd be almost out of slots in a game that gives me 80) that run back to 2/9, 3/9 & 3/16 and I try to never, ever make a save if I'm playing in the alpha. Only beta or offiicial, but thank you. Now I know that I might be getting more info than I should.

I think I'll go back to my Feb save and play forward again, see if I did go off in a direction I wasn't meant to.

sweetdreams

#54 by sweetdreams - May 12 2011

well if the game ends in may (in game time) then that will only give us a month for revenge...and since damien hasn't appeared yet it might be near impossible to get revenge unless it's rushed...maybe mary sue will just accept him straight away when he comes back? which is unrealistic but who knows

*edit just played the latest patch...maybe we will get our happy ending or revenge after all... Laughing

It does seem that way. I really love the fact that you can still pursue him after being married. He doesn't just storm off when you turn him down and there's still some strong flirting going on. When he finds out that you got married, he actually listens to your reasons and it's implied he'll try again with you once you're free. I like the drama boys, but it's nice to have a happy guy! Smile

That's really interesting about Donald. My Sue didn't get to explain the marriage to him, she asked him if he wanted to hear about it and he said no, then she asked him if they were cool and he said close enough, then they went to bingo together. I guess he doesn't trust my Sue as much.

Gotta try that route now xD

Oo - that's really interesting. I wonder if you were nicer to Grabiner than I was? Did you still get the hugging Donald after the fire and him calling you beautiful after spring break? I'm going to go try get your version... Smile

perch

#59 by perch - May 12 2011

@junsei7

Yes I defended him during the fire incident, hugged him when he showed up and he called her beautiful. I think I didn't have enough built up for him earlier in the game, like I did the bare minimum detentions to get on his path. But my Sue is also on the same 'good' path with Grabiner. Coming to his room, asking him about hobbies so maybe she's too far on his path.

Ditto for me. I want to try again and get your path so Donald will hint at more for my Sue. Very Happy

@Elze

Yes. I love that Donald is there to counterbalance all the other crazy and intense story lines. He's a really well done 'nice guy' because he can still be a bit selfish and occasionally thoughtless about how he handles the relationship. He's the juvenile delinquent who ends up being one of the most balanced and nicest people your Sue can meet.

sweetdreams

#60 by sweetdreams - May 13 2011

junsei7

#61 by junsei7 - May 13 2011

@perch

I think if you hadn't gone to Grabiner's room to talk to him. My Sue was able to talk to Grabiner about Minnie and get his good response, but if I went to talk to him about everyone being distant the good Donald option closed off. If you're getting the hugs and otehr scenes you usually get on Donald's path then you should be far enough along I think.

perch

#62 by perch - May 13 2011

@junsei7

Spoilers for Donald.

Thank you! I thought I might be needing to change/skip something with Grabby so I tried your advice and got the more romantic part. I really love it, since Donald is my favorite. Very Happy

@sweetdreams

Spoilers for Damien

I am really looking forward to the next update. I have a save right before the decision so that I can both genuinely find out what Damien wants and so that I can instead use the Rose and Wasp to extract revenge! Sweet, sweet revenge! He's so deliciously evil, but I need to see this through to the end.

hanako

#63 by hanako - May 13 2011

There has been a minor mistake on Damien's path. A scene that should have been available early in April was left out. It was an optional scene that not everyone would find anyway, so it will not destroy the plot if you don't back up to see it, but it would have added some information that might affect the way you react to Damien's upcoming event.

I'll be adding it in the next beta patch. Oopsie!

so i have a game where I picked 'hate' on damien's path and he doesn't appear...why is that?

Riviera

#66 by Riviera - May 14 2011

I'm guessing he only shows up either because he's actually feeling something for her or he thinks the MC is a big enough of a fool that she'll believe him again. If she hates him, she's not likely to go along with whatever is going to happen.

I was thinking about this... and if he's trying to fake her out again, she'll be outside the school and in the woods. He could either try his ritual again (if it's possible to redo it), or at the very least have a good shot at killing her off.

If he actually does have some kind of feelings for her, well, it'll probably end up in a love/hate fight and... that should at least be interesting.

perch

#67 by perch - May 14 2011

I got the extra scene for Damien! It did make a difference in my choice for his path. I really loved the Damien scenes they made the wait worth it, even the revenge parts though they are making me seriously look sidelong at the Rose and Wasp...their methods seem to range from harmless, but in bad taste Ellen or what can happen to my Sue, to potentially very dangerous as evidenced by Kyo and Damien's path.

Also...ZOMG MORE BIG STEVE!!! YES!!! Ahem. Sorry there. I have a Sue who is expressly devoted to pursuing him to the exclusion of all the full paths and I was so happy even if it's a side path thing. Very Happy I have a soft spot for the toad/snake kids.

Heh. I have to thank perch for pointing it out - I'm not sure I would have found it otherwise. I found it by using a spell to get the rabbit from the claw machine at the arcade. Potsdam tells you off, but next time you can ask Steve for help. To get the April scene give him the rabbit (although it's such a cute accessory for Sue!) Smile

YEEEESSS! Finally, Grabiner! I've got youuu!
I was squealing like a silly schoolgirl when he kissed her. & I thought I made a wrong choice when he flipped out over the mention of Violet. Phewww.

Also, about Virgina, if she says that she decides that we should just be friends just before the ball, even though I'm on her romance path, does this mean that I failed somewhere along the route after all? D:

& as always, Donald's the sweetest. I think he might end up becoming my favorite after all. Fickle I am. *A*

perch

#80 by perch - May 26 2011

For Virginia I haven't found a difference whether I've been treasurer or not. She still gives me the same reaction at the end so I don't know if I missed a step with her at some point.

I do know that Ellen has two distinct ways to get to her ending even though the ending itself was the same for me. Her ending is so adorable.

Donald continues to be my favorite. He's great and it's nice that even if you reject him early on he'll still go to the dance with you if you haven't messed up your relationship.

Grabiner made me really happy. For a second I thought I'd still messed up, but then it was great for both directions.

Damien! OMG Damien! His ending was fantastic, especially the darker branch, even if it makes me go X_x at Potsdam.

junsei7

#81 by junsei7 - May 26 2011

Firstly, huge congratulations to Hanako and Spiky for getting the game done - it's really fantastic. Thank you!

I thought Ellen's ending was incredibly sweet. It made the slow burn worth it. Although I can never forgive her for going out with Donald if I don't ! Nooo! Shocked

I'm on the fence with Virginia. I don't know if I missed a step (but considering there have been a few people saying this, I think it might just be her ending). I kind of like the realism involved in someone being unsure about their sexuality and whether they want more, but the part of me that put in effort to win her over is frustrated.

Damien's ending is fantastic - he's so dodgy. I love that he's still ever so slightly scary and I'm a bit worried for my Sue. It's great that he doesn't just turn completely around. Although - Potsdam! Dude.

Grabiner's kiss was probably the best (even though Donald's my fave). It was very sweet and utterly worth the effort.

BTW - love Donald's yearbook entries. He's so great.

Riviera

#82 by Riviera - May 27 2011

I'm joining the ranks of confusion over Virginia.

I THINK I got my Weird up enough, said the right things, etc.. but at the end it says she's my Best Friend, not my Romance.. did I do something wrong?

Other than that, LOVED LOVED LOVED the other endings I got. Grabby! Donny! ELLEN! They were so fun. I giggled over how Pastel put a note in one of my character's yearbook! I forget what path she was on... maybe Virginia's?

Not sure about Virginia. I got her as my romance and she left my Sue a <3 and a cute self conscious note in her year book page, but she also gave my Sue the not-sure-this-is-working-out speech.

I think Virginia is just in a weird in-between phase. On the one hand she doesn't want to deal with all the romance and cutesy stuff, but on the other hand she wants the 'spark' of a strong romantic attraction.

Or she's asexual and not really romantic and still trying to suss things out for herself. There was a lot of assurances on my Sue's part that they were making their own rules.

I got the same thing that perch did. I guess that's just how her route works, then. D: & lol pastel also left a comment on my Virginia path. I don't think I sent her a valentine on that path though. Or maybe I did I can't remember lol.

Finally back from the convention.

I will probably be making a few edits to the end of Virginia's (romantic) path in the near future, as I don't think it gave quite the impression I intended. Saying no more yet though. Smile

I hope your convention went well for you!

This is intriguing. I got the impression that Virginia was happy to carry on with my Sue as things were (so the occasional kiss?) but not take things any further, at least for the moment. If that's the case it throws up an interesting prospest for their fake marriage if my Sue is more in love with her than she is with Sue. I can't wait to see what was intended...

For me, it felt like a subtle rejection lol. Kinda like, "okay so we tested some things out but I think we're better off as friends after all, even though the kiss was great". Which is why I got confused, I guess.

So yes, some updates would be great if that wasn't what she meant. xD

I have to say the only reason I thought maybe it wasn't a 'trying to let Sue down easy' speech was that Virginia wasn't usually shy about saying what she meant. She didn't think we fit the 'passionate romance' pattern she thought relationships were but when you reassured her it seemed that she still wanted something - particularly with the yearbook entry. Although maybe it was just wishful thinking on my part... Smile

perch

I got the Virginia new romance and I really liked it and how it played out. They're an interesting combo and I'm happy my Sue got to go to the dance with her, but also reassure her.

Finally played the new updated version. Yay!

I really like the new Virginia ending. I actually went 'aww' when she puts her head on Sue's shoulder at the dance. It was really lovely and I think the extra bits made the whole picture more cohesive and fit happily with what came before.

madeofwhin

#93 by madeofwhin - Jun 16 2011

Just finished Damien's path... Sue's protests about how he's changed sounded worryingly similar to excuses made by abused spouses... o__O Kind of wish there was a "I can't really trust you completely but I'm willing to give you a second chance and we'll just see how it goes" choice... Why did he have to be so cool?

Also, there's a Big Steve route? Squee!

hanako

#94 by hanako - Jun 16 2011

No, there's not a full route for him, just a few scenes.

madeofwhin

#95 by madeofwhin - Jun 16 2011

Aww, but he has a bunneh. And he talks through it. Sad

Oh well. XD

perch

#96 by perch - Jun 16 2011

@madeofwhin

I'm sad Big Steve's not a romance path either, but maybe all the Steve squee means he'll be a romance option in the future? *holds up a Do Want sign*

On a different note...

So I have to ask is Kyo a total red herring or is he a last minute hook up? I don't really like him, but the 'gotta catch them all' complete game junkie in me needs to know. Like it insisted I find the Ellen + Summer School path for the extra scene.

So far for Kyo I've found:

Give romantic advice for girl he likes. Why are girls so confusing?/Serenade event. The pre-Valentine's day conversation, the pancake event and the April quad blow up. And some scenes with him in the background. Am I missing any? Do I need to not have my Sue be treasurer?

hanako

#97 by hanako - Jun 16 2011

Near the end you can get a chance to ask him to go out with you (if you're not dating anyone else at the time); however, he will always turn you down. He's just not into you.

perch

#98 by perch - Jun 16 2011

Okay cool. Thank you. I've gotten that option and I just couldn't figure out if there was a hidden trigger to get him to change his mind and I was just missing it. I've found a lot of extra scenes trying to crack the Kyo cipher so it was worth it (and I'm secretly relieved he's towards the top of my personal dislike pile).

There is a part I don't quite get, on Grabiner's path. Is it better to open the box with the letter or not open it? I tried both options but I am utterly confused as to which is the "better" option. I know it's doesn't matter in the long run since mistakes can be made, but it made me curious! (Especially the merits part just made me go "wait... is that good or bad coming from him")

Hello, I am having a little bit of trouble with Ellen. I don't know what to choose Sad Help someone? Please Embarassed

SPOILER: During the second week, with the love letter, should I go to red/blue class and admit to have written it? Or should I not do that? (Since I gain some scenes with Ellen if I don't do it, although I think it just makes her fall in love with William more)

Should I run for treasurer?

When Ellen tells me about her crush on William during the election week, should I choose "There is nothing wrong about that" and then "Tell him" or "Wait and see" (and make her run treasurer) or should I discourage her, although she will get mad?

Also, I wanted to say that this is a great game and I am having so much fun hunting for the different romance paths Very Happy I can't wait for the other Halls to come out. Thank you for making this great game!

Blinky343

#104 by Blinky343 - Jun 30 2011

Don't worry about it too much:

SPOILER: William shoots her down no matter what you pick, even if you get her to run for treasurer which seems the "best" option as far as her chances with him. I'm not 100% which is the best option as far your characters chances are, I just know in my game I encouraged her to go for William and got her to run and still ended up with her in the end.

For the future, important events happen in December and February. Also (though this is pretty common sense) when you've got conflicting events choosing to hang out with your target partner is the way to go.

And wow, I didn't even realize Grabiner was an option! Makes me wish there was more to the Potsdam valentine though regardless it was still a cute little scene.

I gotta say I really liked this game. I buy most of the VN type games that pop up on Hanako/Tycoon et al and some of them turn out to be very skimpy games (but hey beggars, choosers) but I honestly think I got my money's worth just out of my single playthrough and I can't wait to try the other paths.

I know I have to be treasurer to get Grabiner, but I can't figure out how! I only got to be in one of my playthroughs, and now I can't do it again. =/ I know you have to get a scene with Donald to earn some merits, but it'sjust not showing up.

There are three different ways to gain 10 merits and thus gain a "clean" score:

1.During the Second Week; go to Red or Blue class on Thursday. When the love letter is read, "admit it". What you say to Damien does not matter. The next day, you will gain 20 merits.

2.During the first exam in the fourth week, use blue on the wall. You should have at least 30 points in blue or higher. You will then teleport out and Grabinger will give you 10 points for your performance.

3.The "Donald" way: During Week 5, Sleep or study on Monday and Wednesday (not sure if it works if you only sleep/study on Wednesday) On Monday, Donald wants to play a trick on Victoria. You have to say "Why are you doing this" and "Okay, leave it" (will gain you detention if you say nothing, but no demerits) or "I have a better idea..." to get the scene on Wednesday. On Wednesday, Donald will come again and invite you to help him. Go with him to gain 10 merits, but you gain some stress for the work you do.

Hope that helps, sorry if I forgot other possibilities Embarassed

For the election:

If you want the Grabinger path, I suggest you let him help you. Your title does not matter, though I used "the Dragon". Buy at least one of the 5 dollar badges or posters. If you chose to let Grabinger help you, there will be a scene with you trying to get people's attention. Choose either "Just go on" or "Give free hugs" (+15 cuteness) or do a weird dance (+weirdness) What you say during your speech does not matter
Vote for Minnie (that is important) and yourself

Okay, I'm hearing mixed things about Damien so could someone fill me in on his ending? I'm curious for when I get the game who I should go for cause I really don't want to end up with a player. I avoid them like the plague. Like Freebo from Spirited Heart.

Also Grabiner seems to be a teacher? I have only played demo so please forgive me for not knowing. If he is, is he fully romanceable to (full on ending and such) and heck spoil that ending for me to! I hate bittersweet ones, I must admit I like my full on 'happy endings', cliche' as they may be.

Amaya Redfern

#110 by Amaya Redfern - Jul 2 2011

Damien has two endings, both of which are equally adorable in my opinion. He's somewhat of a player at first, but there's a scene halfway through that changes that. ;) And yes, Grabiner is a teacher, yes he is fully romanceable. Two endings for him as well, though only one is particularly "romantic."

perch

#111 by perch - Jul 2 2011

There's also a trophy ending for Grabiner that's...ahem, less sweet. I recommend getting his regular endings (if you're on his romantic path it's easy to see both variations) before pursuing it.

Damien has two variations on his regular path (that mostly affect what happens to your Sue) and also has a trophy ending. His trophy ending is one of my favorites, but it's mostly because I love the implications of what would happen post game.

Damien is a bit of a drama queen. He starts off giving the bad boy vibe, but that gets played around with heavily. Don't be put off by his 'player' vibe. His character is complicated. I think he gets that Frebo vibe because both characters throw you a sucker punch, the difference being Frebo can be a total ass, but you don't discover he's a total jerk until the very end, where as Damien is playing a much more complicated and multi-layered game.

You might like Donald. He's incredibly sweet and a really nice counterpoint to the other four romance options.

Okay...well I take crappy notes but this is what I got...When Potsdam or however you spell her name says Grabiner isn't feeling well, bring him the soup. When sorting the mail you'll come across a box and you'll have the option of opening it or leaving it alone. DO NOT OPEN, or else it'll reduce points in your relationship.

When you get back from Spring break, you'll have an option to talk to him for a short bit. Ask him about his Spring Break. I don't know if you necessarily have to do anything to lead up to this, but when Minnie, Kio, and Jacob argue on the grounds, choose the option to talk to Kio. What I did was tell him to forget Minnie. I then got a choice to either talk to one of the professors or just stay out of it...I chose to get Grabiner.

Then gossip will go around about you and Grabby. This leads to a chain of events but when people start avoiding you, go talk to Grabiner. The following weekend will come up and choose to visit him. Answer his question with To protect them. He'll lecture you and when he talks about wine, say you've never had it before.

I'm not sure if talking to him about what instrument you play affects your relationship. This doesn't really score any points but when you're taking the final exam, say maybe if you DON'T want to fail...because if you say none of your business then you'll fail no matter what you pick. DON'T attend the ball, and say You are my husband when the option comes up.

I suck at walkthroughs and those are mainly off my notes XD I tried to be detailed, but short...and I failed XD I'm trying to work on a relationship with Grabby while also tying in with Damien...it didn't go to well when I first tried XD

Okay, so I have to say thanks soooooo much for the game! I absolutely love playing it. The romances are adoreable.

Though I seem not alone with the Grabiner as an awesome attainable item! I always fall for the teacher. XD

*spoiler warning*
Is the kissing ending and him telling you to write the best with him though? I have done several different ways, I always get the kiss, but then I get the whole write to me over summer...if so I totally need more. Mainly because I could only think that at the time that the period of marriage ends he would divorce Sue and which would be awesome for a "next year" game if that was ever in mind. I need closer or my mind runs away with all kinds of ending with him.
