Steam trading cards

If you're the sort of person to care about those, they're now available for this game. If you're not, you can at least get a small preview of the pictures in the Steam market.

(Basically, I had the lovely luckynesu - who previously did a cool pic of Grabiner with fire - make paintings of the other datable characters.)

So are they actual trading cards or are they just digital cards?

They're just digital cards. It's some wacky Steam thing, you get cards from a game by playing them but you can never get the whole set that way so you have to trade with other players. And if you get enough cards you can create a 'badge' which allows you to decorate your Steam profile with graphic bits, or you can sell those bits to other collectors for a few cents.

It's all a bit pointless to me but some people really like collecting stuff!

It's extremely pointless, and there's not much of a chance that I'll get the remaining cards. At least these have new pieces of art, and I'm happy that I got the girls.

As long as you log on to steam every week there's a chance you'll randomly get a booster pack with extra cards. I got a full set of FTL cards that way. You can them sell the extras and buy missing ones with the money you just made or trade them.

*shrug* Might be pointless but I find it silly fun.
