Question about Ellen's Story (likely spoilers)

So I was super curious about the extra information you can supposedly get from Minne after she shows up cloaked in your room to warn Ellen about combining technology and magic.

I was treasurer and knew the communication spell, but wasn't able to chase after her and hear more information. I'm not sure what I've done wrong.

Does anyone have any ideas, or know what Minne says? I'm just curious about what that extra information is about the setting

What version number does your game list?

Make sure you're playing an up-to-date version of the game. I believe that conversation wasn't patched in until some time after launch. Any copy purchased in the last year would have it, but if you managed to find a REALLY old CD copy you'd need to use your regkey to update.

(I'm checking to see if I can find any other reason it might not flag.)

Oh, yes, I think that explains it. Looks like it is behind the more recent updates. I feel badly now because I didn't expect to bother you with this, and I don't actually own any money of my own so this is just what I have.

It's alright, I was just super curious about that part of the story and setting . My thinking is that the wizards had a bad experience with the scientific revolution that resulted in a great deal of fear and also the policy of preventing any of the norms from knowing about magic, but thinking about it all got me really curious what the extra information is.
