Question about Grabiner and Donald friendship route

If I gain even a single point with Grabiner, do I automatically not get to tell Donald that it's a marriage in name only?

iirc it's not about having the points, it's about whether or not you chose to go bond with grabiner after the big reveal. But I can't look at the script at the moment.
