MC's Bed?

So Ellen, Virginia, and the main character are all roommates, right? But their room only has two beds. I only just now noticed it, because I always pictured a third bed pushed against the wall under the window, but it just seemed a bit odd to me. Was the main character originally only supposed to have one roommate? Or would a third bed have made the dorm picture look too crowded? Or does someone sleep on the floor?

Oh, okay. That makes more sense . I always thought that the viewpoint of the picture was from the door.
