Date Warp (upcoming visual novel)

This is still in development and won't be out for a good while, but I've put up a preview page with some information about the characters and the story.

It is similar to Fatal Hearts in that there are puzzles to solve along the way while you make choices to reach different endings. However, instead of having lots of different kinds of puzzles, there's one basic sort of puzzle with lots of different variations. You'll have to wait and see for more information. (No, it's not a hidden object game.)

It looks so cool! I love the graphics, and when you mentioned "Fatal Hearts" I knew I would be interested.

Ahh this looks great. I've been waiting for another great visual novel game to come along. I can't wait for the public release even though I know it'll be a while. ^^

Oh that looks interesting and it's by the creator of Science Girls too so I'll definitely keep an eye for it. I do like Hidden Object games but there are just so many and a lot of them are more rush and less substance, I'm looking forward to a good visual novel.

*cough* Just one question about this...

Will it be scary? If there's one thing I didn't like about Fatal Hearts, it was that some parts grossed me out/scared me.

Yes, I'm an utter wimp... I wish one of these days you'd do a total otome game - whether a sims or a visual novel - that is totally bright.

Like the Charm School sequel (as much as I can gather about it anyway... by the way, are you still working on that?)

As this might constitute spoilers:

Not nearly as dark as Fatal Hearts. This isn't a horror story, there won't be any massacres. There can be some violence and tension... I don't think there's anything gross/bloody though. Mostly fistfights.

It hasn't gotten off the drawing board. It's planned, and I'm talking to people about design ideas, but nothing's actually coded yet.

It is, however, pretty relentlessly bright. Happy sparkly sugar.

I also have plans for Cute Knight Empire but that's obviously going to be a long time coming!

Aw, one of the reasons why I love Fatal Hearts so much is because I am obsessed with horror stories.
So I wouldn't mind if Date Wrap had a horror element as well.

Don't know, it depends on how quickly a lot of people get stuff done! The script is mostly written but the art takes time. Could be a few months.

We're down to only a few bits left to go, so I anticipate this game being out by the end of May. Waiting on one last graphic and the theme song, pretty much... but musical recordings require studio time so they can take a little extra.

My answer to one or two earlier questions may have been changed slightly by the final plot, but...

The not-really Charm School sequel is just starting development. It's pretty bright and shiny, but I'm probably not going to post pictures of that here until after Date Warp comes out. Don't want to distract from one release by hints of something else which won't be done for a long time!

I think that means we might see some horror . Oh my gosh, I'm so happy right now! I've been following this game since November so knowing it's close to release, it's exciting! I'll be the first in line to buy it (metaphorically of course, one of the great things about downloaded games ).

By the way, the end of May is great, I'll be done with finals and can play the game without being a procrastinator .
