How do you get the mermaid ending?

You have to adventure in the sewer dungeon and rescue Mossam. After that, go to the beach and fish a few times until he talks to you about fish and eventually gives you a fish (just keep fishing til he does). Then, you have to make a fish pie for him - potato, cheese and fish - but you have to get your cooking skill high enough to do it. Once you have the pie, visit the beach again and give it to him. Fish some more or just leave and come back later and he'll give you a necklace. Wear the necklace until you turn 21 and that's that.

What symbols work best against goblins? Since the dungeon's full of goblins.

Does the ending require low sin? Because a lot of the necessary actions require sin.

It's been too long for me to remember exactly, but I don't think so. Meeting the requirements to get and wear the necklace should be enough.

I had to google a walkthough because I don't remember but apparently you also have to bring him a book after you've cooked with fish?
