I cant get the little boy by the castle (most likely a thief) to talk to me. I tried to work on just about every stat and I keep getting his initial greeting. :/

That character is, obviously, a bit secretive and not interested in chit-chat. Just chatting will not unlock anything.

But if you have the skill of Luck and useful knowledge from having worked in another job previously, there is something else you can talk about...

Haha I will admit I am just about as lost as before but at least I know its not a stat now, I will continue to explore until I have an idea

I was able to speak to the little boy and chat, but it didn't just feature my having done another job, but also a choice I made on the job that effected my being able to talk to him. It was only chat though, still haven't figured out what to do to go on jobs with him....I'm guessing build luck and sin.
